Camp Fire MN provides a beautiful natural setting for group rentals, retreats, field trips and weddings. Our 103-acre property located on Lake Minnewashta is bordered by Lake Minnewashta Regional Park, adding to the natural wildlife and outdoor experience. You’ll frequently see wildlife such as deer, turkeys, turtles and many birds like bald eagles, bluebirds, robins, woodpeckers and more! We’re conveniently located in the southwest Twin Cities metro, but guests instantly feel like they’re far from the city.
This listing is for our Bluebird Lodge. Bluebird is heated for year-round use. The upper-level features bunk beds – sleeping 30 (2 sleeping areas) – and a common area with seating and stone fireplace. A walk-out basement features a kitchen (including pots, pans, dishes and utensils), open floor plan for multi-purpose use, folding tables and chairs, and views of the Big Woods forest.
Note that the bathhouse (including showers) is located approximately 50 feet from the lodge. There is not a bathroom inside Bluebird Lodge.
Additional facilities are available for rent, including rustic cabins (no electricity), yurt and a dining hall with seating for 80 people. To learn more about additional rental opportunities at Tanadoona, please inquire.
Each summer, we offer 12 weeks of camp, leaving Tanadoona available for outside groups to enjoy September through May. Whether you’re looking for a half-day meeting or a multi-day event, we can help you plan your upcoming event. Groups may rent specific facilities or exclusive use of the property. For exclusive use rentals, please inquire.
All groups are welcome to our recreational activities, including basketball hoop, volleyball net, soccer goals, gaga ball pits, sports equipment and hiking trails. Camp Fire Minnesota's trained staff are also available to lead team-building and other activities for your group, upon request during booking.

Summary: The property is very close to the metro area yet feels a world away. The lodge is big and has plenty of room for everyone. We had a group for a retreat and it worked out great.

Summary: Very impressed with our stay @ Tanadoona for my friends bachelor party. The staff was extremely helpful getting us settled in and answering any questions that we had throughout our stay. We had 20+ guys for the weekend and there was more than enough room. The cabin, bathrooms, and showers were extremely clean. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for an affordable place for a large group of people !

Summary: I was in a tight spot planning my friend's bachelor party as my original venue fell through. I had 28 people so finding places to accommodate that many dudes was a bit tricky, the first place was another friend's land up north (read: free). Honestly, this place will be my first pick for next time, everything was great for the group I was with. The lake, field and lodge were perfect. 10/10 would go again My only suggestion would be an update on the kitchen utensils downstairs, we brought most of our own so we were good. Another group might've been SOL though.

Summary: We had a fun stay! The cabin was well heated and stocked. The beds were very small and some were not terribly comfortable, but it's a camp so it's to be expected. The kitchen was well stocked and the bathrooms, a short walk away from the cabin, were very clean, warm, and usable. I would definitely stay again!

Summary: The entire weekend was great! We came for a weekend of yard and board games that we brought ourselves, but the property had more to do than we ever imagined for the weekend. The beach was close by and different active game setups across campus. The bathrooms were well kept. The only thing we will maybe do differently next time is bring a small AC window unit.

Summary: Lovely little space great for a group. We had 15 people stay there and it was enough space. Might be tight with a full 30,unless you're able to get outside more.

Summary: Our Family of 30 decided to stay here over Thanksgiving. Laura was easy to work with and answered all our questions. She even gave us a tour so we knew exactly what to expect. We spent Wednesday through Saturday at our "Thanksgiving Camp." We were greeted by Tali who showed us to the Bluebird cabin. We had the very best time all being together. We ranged in age from 5 to 95 and a wonderful time was had by all. Tali couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. She reacted quickly to any problem that arose and got it solved or corrected. We were in great hands. The camp was so homey and we all felt very comfortable. This camp is amazing. There is a never ending amount of things to do. Just being in the naturally wooded 103 acre property on Lake Minnewashta was a fantastic adventure. Our family will always remember our Thanksgiving Camp and our new friend Tali. We hope to return next year.

Summary: We had been looking for a place to do a retreat for a while and couldn't find anything until we found this! It was an excellent place, not too far outside the cities, for a good 24 hour retreat. Would recommend!
