Positive: The house was located in a small town / large village away from tourist hotspots and crowds (about 20km from Fethiye), which is what we were looking for, and with some lovely restaurants serving traditional food. We especially enjoyed Cadianda Restaurant but also The Wine Bar and also Yesiluzumlu Pide Dunyasi. We didn't, unfortunately, get to the Gayran Cafe for our morning Turkish coffee! The house was easy to find and we were met in the middle of the night by the still cheerful caretakers with the key. Although there was a language barrier, Google Translate worked very well! The house itself was lovely with comfortable modern furnishings. The air conditioning was most welcome especially in the 34+ degrees weather! The rooms were spacious and especially the bathrooms! The kitchen was well equipped with dishwasher, microwave stove and oven and also coffee machine although we didn't use it much except for breakfasts and lunches. Towels and bedding were provided. there was a separate utility area with washing machine as well for laundry. The swimming pool was also lovely with suitable lounging equipment. We spent at least one whole day just lounging by the pool side. Free WiFi was also provided, which the kids enjoyed when not in the pool or being dragged around by parents!! There is also under cover parking which can be locked providing safe and cool parking for the car. Finally, the owner was really approachable and responded very quickly to queries, which was very much appreciated!
Negative: The house is located on the main road of the town although thankfully not that noisy during the day and quiet at night. Otherwise nothing to improve on as such! A suggestion might be a "welcome pack" with ideas of things to do, recommended local restaurants / boating companies etc.
Summary: A lovely, comfortable house to come back to every day after our adventures! Home from home!

Positive: The Villa was spotlessly clean and tidy with lots of space and all the amenities we needed. The pool was fantastic and our two kids could have stayed in it for the entire holiday if we’d let them. All the appliances worked perfectly including the air con which was much needed as the temperature was 34 degrees most days. If you’re staying make time to visit The Wine House restaurant which is 5 mins away and does a Sunday BBQ that was delicious . Also Cadianda restaurant which is just up the road and nestled in amongst trees and vines making it a beautiful outdoor place for a traditional Turkish meal. Fethiye is about a 20km or 30 min drive to the market and harbour, which are both a must if you want some great shopping and dinning choices. I recommend some of the cafes on the harbour where you can enjoy a Turkish coffee or Tea whilst enjoying the view of the sea and mountains. Also make sure you get a photo in front of the famous Fethiye sign . So much to see and do, I wish we could have stayed much longer.
Negative: It was hard to find anything to fault, and my only observation would be that it would have been nice to have some sort of visitor book or welcoming pack to tell you about the local village and shops , restaurants close by. We were very lucky that we had Aydin a great guy who looks after the Villa to recommend places and also drive us around as we would not have found them by accident. You will definitely need a car as the setting is very quiet and remote (which is what we wanted) but it’s not close enough to anything to walk especially in the heat and the nearest beach is probably 20km away.
Summary: Fantastic first trip to Turkey, we will definitely be coming back!
