Restoration of 19th Century post and beam structure left many original details intact. Wide plank floors and original floor plan define the rambling house. Great room addition incorporates antique hand hewn barn beams with cathedral ceilings, butternut wood floors and expansive windows looking out across the rolling farmland to the distant hills. Quintessential large farmhouse kitchen, den and dining room. There's also a complex of barns, used until 2000 for farming, constructed with hand hewn beams and stone foundations.

Summary: We spent the long weekend upstate with friends at the King Hill House and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The farmhouse has been lovingly restored and served as a perfect backdrop for cooking large breakfasts, relaxing by the fire, and playing board games in the sunroom while the pellet stove kept us cozy. The only thing that caught us off guard was finding two hornets in the bedrooms during our stay (one guest got stung but survived to tell the story!). Otherwise, we had a wonderful stay.
