La Peyriere is one of the most beautiful examples of a French farmhouse you could possibly find, located right in the heart of Aveyron, South-West France. Situated in the hills near the town of La Fouillade, and just 30 minutes from France's favourite village 2014 and 2015, Cordes sur Ciel and St Antonin Noble Val. It provides the perfect escape from everyday life, yet it's within 60 minutes drive of 8 'Beaux Villages de France'.
A very typical example of local architecture with a beautiful 'fish scale' slate tile roof. Renovated to a very high standard and impeccably maintained ever since. The sunset over the pool and kitchen is to die for!
The property benefits from a beautiful outdoor area, with terrace overlooking the heated swimming pool and BBQ (the pool is open May - October) and wrapped around with a 4 acre field to provide you with as much privacy as you could wish for.
Nestled in the hills 5 minutes from Lunac, a village with Boulangarie, and 10 minutes from La Fouillade, which has a major supermarket. We're incredibly lucky to be just 15 minutes away from the enchanting 'Beaux' village of Najac.
Slightly further afield we are 30 minutes drive away form 3 stunning towns... Saint Antonin Noble Val, with a stunning Sunday market and voted the most beautiful town in France in 2015. Then to the South East, Cordes sur Ciel, a hilltop town with lovely restaurants and shops, voted the most beautiful town in France a few year earlier!

Summary: Le Peyriere is wonderful property in a beautiful part of France. It is in a secluded location but near enough to local shops and there are loads of things to do and see within a short drive.The house had everything we needed and is spacious. There is a well-maintained pool and a games room. Kayaking on the Aveyron was a highlight but there are also amazing walks and beautiful villages all around. Chis the owner was very responsive and nothing was too much trouble. Property manager Fred was also very helpful and friendly. All in all, a great holiday and we would thoroughly recommend and would happily return.

Summary: Beautiful French farmhouse with everything you need for a great holiday, surrounded by lovely countryside, very private and peaceful, amazing pool and lots of very beautiful villages and French markets within easy reach. Summary: We spent a lovely few days at La Peyriere, very relaxing and we manage to combine some lovely evenings by the fire with some long walks and trips to some amazing markets nearby. A great place to come if you want to have some time away from the day to day.

Summary: Lovely peaceful 2 weeks spent at La Peyrière, meticulously maintained pool was the highlight. Although secluded (a plus for us) nice area to explore on foot, kayaking at nearby Najac, very friendly boulangerie at La Fouillade

Summary: Great to spend a few days in the Aveyron countryside, we had some lovely walks, evenings by the fire and plenty of Aligot! The market at Villefranche is in a wonderful setting, well worth a visit.

Summary: Lovely stay this Autumn, great weather, sunny and warm in the day but cool enough for the wood burner at night. The house is really cosy and warm and we had some lovely days out to Cordes, Najac and Villefranche. Already booked again for next year!

Summary: We very much enjoyed staying at La Peyriere as we explored the many beaux villages in the surrounding area. Chris provided all the needed information on website and with guide and brochures provided at the house. Large well equipped farmhouse kitchen. We only used for making coffee and eating pastries each morning because we were on the road much of the time. We did love having the large kitchen table for spreading out maps and brochures as we planned the next day itinerary. Great shower on lower level and bathtub on upper floor. Wi-Fi was spotty but we were told that in advance given rural location. Amazing patisserie in La Fouillade and a great little pizza place across the street.

Summary: We had a wonderful time at La Peyriere, what a find! We spent many relaxing days by the pool and also enjoyed the produce in local markets. There was plenty to do nearby, a much needed (refreshing) visit to the local river, beaux village including Najac and St Cirq Lapopie and don't miss the market at St Antonin!

Summary: A return to one of our favourite holiday destinations, the weather was lovely and we have a chance to visit more of the lovely towns nearby such as St Antonin. Some great improvements around the pool too and the we loved the lounge area, perfect for families and parents in need of rest!
