Originally built as The Buckley Hotel, this historic building has been brought back to life. While retaining the features that makes this home so beautiful and reflective of its time, we have brought in modern amenities that insure a comfortable stay while in the heart of Excelsior Springs. This place is so perfect if you are visiting town as it's steps from shopping, eating and landmarks. The beds are comfy with nice linens because I, for one, love a good night's rest and I bet you do too! It is such a nice place. I travel often and always stay at Airbnb's and so I add things that I would want. The bed is comfortable, the towels are lush and of course we use the stuff that makes it all smell so good. You can prepare a simple meal and we insure it is clean and sanitary. We have coffee, teas, hot chocolate and snacks. It has 4 units total, two upstairs and two downstairs. The place stands so well on its own with its original hardwood floors and doors and the location is just a block from Hall of Waters and such a good spot to sit outside and watch the city but we have added some special touches that have made it quite comfortable for couples or solo travelers and long term guests!

Summary: We have stayed here three times now and love the location. The apartment is clean and well stocked. We enjoyed sitting out on the back patio and walking the trail behind the place.

Summary: Cute place very close to downtown, the Hall of Waters (worth the time), and the Elms Hotel. Everything was as advertised, easy check-in with the owners, very comfortable bed, stocked kitchen, and all in a restored early 20th century building with tons of character. Only issue with the ground floor unit is full exposure to the sidewalks and police station so be sure to close those blinds at night (; And it is an old place so sound travels among the few units inside. Would definitely stay here again.

Summary: Perfect location in this small town if you want to spend time visiting all the restaurants and historic sights such as the Woolen Mill. A few blocks walk to any number of different restaurants. The Elms hotel. Small community theatre. Everything you need to cook in, make a home base that feels like home. Excellent beds, washer and dryer, very modern. Well managed. There are three other suites. We were on the first floor. Couple was above us but not a bother. Highly recommend.
