Summary: Overall, the accommodation was fantastic—nice wood burning stove, big kitchen table for meals, lots of pots/pans for cooking, washer and dryer, full size dishwasher, 2 bathrooms, and 3 large bedrooms that easily accommodated 5 people. It was super quiet and cozy. The location was perfect as it was close to public transit and a stone’s throw away from Douglas Village. There were a couple of minor issues that came up that Nigel took care of very quickly. He was very responsive and professional. The only suggestions I have would be to give the carpets in the bedrooms a good cleaning as they seemed to have a lingering pet odor. The lights in the car park, stairs, and walkway leading down to the property were not operable making it difficult to see where we were going at night. Nigel is having this fixed. Additionally, the front stairs, front and side walkways were very slippery and probably need a good pressure washing to get rid of the algae. Lastly, we could have used more warning and/or instructions before our arrival about how the heat and hot water were set to turn off at night and how to use the Nest to adjust both. My family really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay at this accommodation again and recommend the property to others wanting a quiet, cozy accommodation while visiting the area. It’s truly a home away from home.

Summary: This house was great for our stay with family. Good location, nice and quiet from the city but close enough to get to. Clean, well stocked. The host makes sure you feel very welcome! Would stay again for sure if we return to Ireland!

Summary: My aunts and I were traveling throughout Ireland, partially as tourists, but also a pilgrimage to connect with family roots. This property was in the middle of our sojourn and was a great place to rest, recharge, do some laundry, order take-out, and chill while we watched Netflix. The entire property is very pleasant with a lovely garden front a back. We could each retreat to our own bedroom, or sit and reflect on the trip to date around the dining table, in the living room, or out back in the garden. While there, we had some minor questions..all were answered very rapidly via the VRBO ,messaging function. When I return to Cork, I will return to Nigel's lovely spot.

Summary: Nigel’s place was perfect for our family trip to Cork! The house was spacious with all the amenities we needed, including a large kitchen and laundry. The back garden is lovely, and it was nice to sit and look out the big windows. Access to the roads around Cork was really easy, and everywhere we went was just a short drive. I highly recommend it for any families needing space and comfort.

Summary: Overall it was clean and tidy. Close to the ring roads with good access to city centre. Fine for short family stay suited us as we were all adults. The house is actually a ground floor accommodation with upper accommodation used by others via their own access. That wasn’t an issue for us as we were out most of the time. Enjoyed our stay very much.
