Positive: The house was a short distance from the river and in a quiet area. Everything was so neat and clean.
Negative: Everything was in good order and even a deep freeze for the frozen meat. The host was very helpful when is was loadshedding when we arrived.
Summary: Enjoyable, comfortable and the restaurants is close by.

Positive: We enjoyed staying at this property. The house is well equipped, clean, and comfortable. Rooms are a decent size with a large open-plan kitchen and living room. Even though there are 2 units on the property, you have full privacy. Decent furnishings and a full DSTV bouquet - which meant we could watch the Springbok game without leaving our accommodation! Jaco was always available and ready to assist with any questions or queries. The fireplace (inside braai) is a bonus as it heats up the living areas and makes your stay more comfortable and cozy. Well suited for a family. I highly recommend this property.

Positive: Great single storey property with large lounge and kitchen and well-appointed & decorated bedrooms. Plenty of parking, lovely little back garden with a rotary washing line.
Negative: En suite shower was broken, with no clip to hang the shower head. You need to bring everything to this property - hand soap, toilet rolls, washing up liquid, salt & pepper. It only adds a small cost to the owner to have some very basic essentials at the property, but this one has none. The chest freezer & full-length fridge would be great for long stays with a large family, but not ideal for our 3-day stay. There are no instructions for appliances (eg oven will not work unless you set the clock after each load shedding period and good luck figuring out how to do this!). Getting access to the property was hopeless - poor communication from the owners re key handover etc. No WiFi, which is a drawback.
Summary: We love Stilbaai, but wouldn’t stay at this property again.
