Positive: The property was a great size with plenty of room. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds were comfy. The showers were warm and powerful too.

Negative: The property was quite dusty and had quite a few cobwebs knocking about. Granted the location it’s to be expected but you could tell the light shades in the kitchen and pipe work hadn’t been cleaned for a long time. Also there was what looked like an old blood stain on one of the arms on the sofa.

Summary: Good value for money, comfortable stay but needs cleaning up a bit.

Positive: Location was great for our family wedding and the beds were comfortable. Loved the big lounge with table football and darts. The showers were lovely and warm and you could tell it was used as a family home.

Negative: Unfortunately We were greeted in our bedroom by a mouse who we did see a couple of times in the house which was a bit off putting. The directions to actually locate the cottage were a bit difficult as both parties couldn’t find it. The garden at the front could have done with a tidy up.

Summary: Pleasant but room for improvement.

Positive: Very pretty house in a beautiful location; plenty of space for our family of seven. The kitchen is well equipped, and we loved the games room/sitting room. The pub down the road in St Teath is excellent.

Negative: The house felt quite damp, and the smell of the previous occupants’ cooking was hard to shift. There was no hand soap in any of the bathrooms or kitchen.

Summary: Great getaway to north Cornwall - we loved it!
