Positive: It is a serene place, historic buildings, a huge park and a great energy. Marine is very welcoming and shows great hospitality skills, and she is really good in making everything look beautiful.

Negative: The property is quite remote, and as it was Monday I could not find an open restaurant in the village. However this turned out to be great, as the Abbey offers a fully equipped kitchen where I could enjoy cooking as a change.

Positive: Wonderful location in the countryside. We stayed in a nice bedroom with a shower and sink in separate room. It was very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and the host was so kind. We were able to store our electric bikes under cover.

Negative: We booked a room with private bathroom but it didn’t have toilet in the bathroom. This was down the corridor which wasn’t very convenient.

Summary: A beautiful location in a unique property with very nice host.

Positive: Beautiful accomodation. In particular, love the orangery, gardens, and the Abbey itself. Wonderful host who made sure we enjoyed our time there. Lots of parking available. Tranquil location, in a quiet part of Normandy.

Negative: Minor criticism/frustration - some of the facilities were a bit lacking. E.g. no mirror in one of the toliets/bathrooms, no WiFi available.

Positive: The setting of this property is absolutely stunning. There’s lots of space, a lily filled pond/lake and sun loungers you can move around. A beautiful historic location.

Negative: The breakfast is quite simple and possibly overpriced. The room layout is a little odd. Even if you have a private bathroom in most rooms the toilet is accessed from the corridor rather than your room.
