Just added: New modern ceiling fans (not in pictures), new BBQ, and patio table. Newly remodeled and perfect setting for a get away surrounded by a few ranches, yet minutes to downtown Abilene, the Zoo, and The Expo Center. Quick drive to ACU, McMurry, Hardin-Simmons, TSTC, Cisco College, and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Sit at the back patio table or admire from the kitchen and 2nd bedroom windows: the pastures that surround the Farm House.
The Farm House has newly renovated windows, front porch, floors, and bathrooms with an updated kitchen. All the comforts of home can be found in the fully stocked kitchen. Make a quick and easy meal or step out and explore the great restaurants of Abilene. Coffee pods for Keurig, sugar, salt, pepper, foil, plastic wrap, and zip lock bags are provided.
Bedroom furniture is appointed with Pottery Barn and Restoration Hardware bed sets and decor. New mattresses, bedding, and pillows are in both bedrooms. Bedroom #2 has two nightstands with built in USB ports. Bedroom #2 has blackout curtains on the large window. Both bedrooms have ceiling fans and portable fans in addition to central air conditioning throughout the house.
Bathrooms have new large bath sheet size towels, shower curtains, liners, and floor mats. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toilet paper and some toiletries are provided in each bathroom.
The living room boasts new accent chairs and couch. Three new Roku TVs are in the bedrooms and living room. Pottery Barn linen drapes and rods are on all bedroom and living room windows. Living room has a new ceiling fan.
You'll find a few touches of Magnolia decor in the kitchen and bedrooms.
The property is fully enclosed by a fence however children and guests with paws (dogs) must be supervised since there are gaps in the fence.
Washing machine and dryer are now working! Laundry pods are provided in the laundry closet.
Take in the serene country side on the front porch with a cup of coffee or tea. Front door is accessible with a unique personal keypad code. There is a Google Nest camera on the porch for added safety and security. Multiple cars can be parked under the back carport and along the driveway.

Summary: Was good, however there was gain from a larger dog on our roo. With the two beds. Really a lot more when I swept. Was for sure a bigger dog. Loved the wonderful decorations. ❤️

Summary: We had such a nice time in this lovely modern farm house. The host was very responsive and nice. The house is exactly as pictured: super clean and cute. The beds and linens were top notch. The front porch is great for a relaxing morning coffee it an evening cocktail. We loved the fact that although it is close to the university, it really felt like we were out in the country. The train tracks are right across the street so you do hear them, but we enjoyed it. We will definitely be staying here again!

Summary: Really enjoyed the location. Convenient to ACU campus but not too close. Nearby Clyde donuts was a fantastic find. Recommend for an alternative to the busy hotel areas.

Summary: Beautiful Farmhouse! I traveled with my sister and our daughters for the little league state tournament host was super helpful with any questions we had it’s actually pretty close to restaurants and stores yet you get the country feeling which the kids loved they enjoyed being outdoors and having enough tvs for each of them I definitely would consider staying there if in Abilene again

Summary: The hosts of this property were very kind and easy to communicate with, you can tell that they’ve put a lot of hard work into fixing up this old farm house. The decor is really cute and updated and has a lot of potential. That being said, I must be honest and I do have some inconveniences to mention. To begin, they will require you to fill out an extremely tedious, additional rental agreement, AFTER you’ve already booked and paid for your non-refundable stay, I was not a fan of that as it’s not mentioned on VRBO as a requirement. Next, one of the hosts was at the property doing work when we arrived for an extra hour into our check-in time, so we lost that self check-in, privacy feel, which is something we look for when looking for a vacation rental. There were also quite a few screws and nails in the driveway where we we parked, thankfully we didn’t run over any, I continuously picked them up throughout our stay and sat them on the outside table, it’s clear they’ve been doing a lot of work here, but that could’ve been a major issue. It was also VERY warm inside, even with the air running and extra fans, it barely ever cooled down inside with temps of 107 in west Texas. We mostly enjoyed our stay, but I did feel the need to mention these few things that could be improved upon. They did mention that they’re new at this, and have newly renovated, so I think with some extra TLC, this place could end up being a really great place to stay.
