Summary: If you’re interested in cooler weather and things to do just off of the Blue Ridge Parkway— this is the place! We loved the location. We visited Mabry Mill, Blue Ridge Music Center where Appalachian musicians play weekdays from Noon to four. Chateaux Morissette Winery and restaurant. Only open certain days and you must have a reservation made well in advance! The town of Floyd is worth a visit. Check times for music at the Country Store! There are many stairs from where you park down to the villa— no problem if you’re in good shape! No place for children to play outside.

Summary: We are 73 years old and had a hard time carrying our luggage up and down the many steps to get to the property and then to get up and down to the downstairs bedrooms.
