Stunning beach location.
The Somerton Beach Retreat is a completely refurbished one-bedroom unit. Enjoy beautiful unimpeded sea views from the living area and the bedroom, and glorious west-facing pastel sunsets.
Somerton Beach is the Adelaide’s premier beach on the famed millionaires' Golden Mile. Crystal clear water for swimming, teeming with life including dolphins and whiting. Eateries in walking distance include the Somerton Surf Club café and bar, and Inc cafe.
You have the entire place to yourself.
The kitchen is well-appointed with fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, electric oven and gas cooktop. Basics including tea/coffee/sugar/pepper/salt/cooking oil are provided, with crockery, cutlery and so on. It is designed for two adults, but the dining table extends and there are extra chairs should you have guests.
Somerton Park is Adelaide's premier beachside suburb. The neighbourhood includes many retirees and generations of families who love our beautiful clean beach. Locals are friendly, and sporting and media personalities abound.
Getting around
Bus 265 is 650m east - an easy 8 minute walk. It heads East to the city (38 minutes) via Glenelg (6 minutes) and south to Marion's Westfield Shopping Centre.
Also Bus 263 on Brighton Road, 12 minutes walk.
Walk north to Glenelg Jetty precinct in 30 minutes or south to Brighton Jetty precinct also 30 minutes. Great walking on the beach and the esplanade. Check out the new coastal path from Somerton Surf Club, 3 minutes south.

Summary: We enjoyed our short stay at this property very much and would stay again if opportunity arises. It had everything we needed to enjoy a very comfortable stay and our contact with the host was pleasant, efficient and accommodating. 🙏 Although this didn’t effect us on our stay this time, we felt having transport car/bike would be a benefit as it is just a little bit away from the shops, restaurants etc. (and parking is provided). We did take advantage of the coffee from the Surf Club and a Broadway cafes nearby 😊 and walks along the bay. Thank you.

Summary: A beautiful location on the esplanade just perfect for a weekend away in a stylish getaway appartments. Everything you need, very comfortable, relaxing and quiet. A perfect beachside spot with parking, air conditioning and stunning views or a cosy retreat when the sun goes down. I’ll be back.

Summary: Property is very clean and tidy, great location, close to shops if needed, but far enough away if you don't. The ocean is right across the road. The property had everything we needed and Michael was helpful and friendly. Very quiet area, good parking, the hardest thing was watching everyone else exercise while we took in the sea view, sipping our wine and taking in the beautiful sunsets.....Hard life!

Summary: This is a nice property in a great location. Michael is responsive and happy to get feedback so he can make it even better. I was there over a weekend in summer with great weather and it was very busy - lots of people enjoying the beach and beach path.

Summary: The property was clean on arrival. Only one garbage bag, one tea towel and one dishwasher tablet so when staying for a week you need to supply your own. Also only soft pillows and no top sheet on the bed. The unit does get very hot as the sun sets on the front. The airconditioner works but has a damp smell when on and for some time after it is turned off. Overall it was a great place due to the location
