Beautifully presented self-catering farmhouse overlooks the stunning Gran Sasso mountain range. This villa has been meticulously renovated providing luxury accommodation for all age groups including the disabled. The upstairs accommodation is centred around a large landing with 5 spacious bedrooms (all with air con) and ensuite bathrooms. Downstairs there is a 6th bedroom/rec room with a disabled facility shower room. There is a cosy 'snug' with a wood burner stove which opens onto a terrace that leads to the 13.5 metre pool (open May to end of October) with diving board nestling into the olive grove. The 45 foot Maiella stone kitchen is sympathetically furnished in old pine and opens onto a long veranda with views across a beautiful terrace to the mountains.

Summary: We stayed at this house together with our friends, in total 10 adults and 3 teenagers. The house is very large, each bedroom has its own bathroom. Large kitchen, a lot of dishes, a huge table inside and outside, very large fridge/freezer. The view of the snowy mountain peaks is magnificent. Quiet rural area and at the same time there are two supermarkets and several restaurants within a 10-20 minute drive. During our stay we had everything we need, the only thing we missed was an electric kettle and coffee maker :)

Summary: We visited Casa Mimosa i July 22 and it was a perfect stay. The House is quite isolated In The Mountain (5 km UP! Hill from The nearest grocery), but for us it was brilliant. The view was spectacular, The House was clean, spacious and fully equipped. The pool and tabletennis was har BIG succes and our party of 11 people (family between 7 and 72) enjoyed every moment. 15 min drive from The House We found a brilliant pizzeria and also 15 min drive away We could get amazing Italien icecream 👌🏻 Thanks for at wonderful vacation In Casa Mimosa - We hope to come back to this paradise some day..

Summary: We went to Casa Mimosa twice, in the summer and in the wintertime. On both occasions it was perfect. In January the house was perfectly clean and warm as the heaters were very efficent. The kitchen is great to organize the meals for large groups like 18 people. In the evening we could send kids to bed and could chat for hours. The area outside the house even in wintertime is good to spend some hours (in the summer it was fabulous). And the panorama on Gran Sasso is simply OUTSTANDING.

Summary: We absolutely loved our week at Casa Mimosa. The villa is lovely - immaculately maintained, thoughtfully designed and very spacious, inside and out; the pool is gorgeous (and kept very clean); the views are simply magnificent. The house is surrounded by beautiful, peaceful countryside and charming villages, and there are plenty of restaurants within a 15 minute or so drive (and supermarkets too) serving delicious Italian food at low prices (mainly to locals and/or Italian visitors - we didn't see any other English tourists at all, anywhere). Jane was very responsive and helpful. We aim to return!

Summary: We absolutely loved the Villa, the views were spectacular and the Villa had everything we could possibly need. The only couple of problems we could find were the seal on the oven was broken and the ice making part of the freezer did not work but other than that, pretty perfect!

Summary: This house was absolute perfect for a week of lazy days, good food and wine and lots of swimming in the pool! The pictures can’t possibly give the place justice, the views from the house is absolutely stunning in all angles. Inside it’s a traditional Italian stone house, but with everything you can possibly need and a large kitchen and dining room. We had a great week! We didn’t really find (or look for) any cosy villages worth mentioning but the house is so great you don’t really need it. We had an absolutely awesome week!

Summary: The house is in a very beautiful location between Pescara and the Apennines Mountains. We were a party of eight, mostly retired, and experienced American foreign travelers. Our unanimous opinion is that the Abruzzo area around the house is the most beautiful area we have seen anywhere in the world. Pescara is about 45 minutes east and Rome Airport (Fiumicino) is 2 hours and 45 minutes west. Directions are pretty useless to use, alone, to reach the house, since the roads are not marked well. Use coordinates in Google Maps and you can find the house, these are “42 30’ 50.5”N 13 51’ 43.2”E” type it into the destination window as written without the outside quotes (the inside quotes mean seconds) and it will direct you to the house. While coordinates and Google maps will get you to the house, it will not necessarily get you there the best way. Having a map of the area and the directions will help. We used Google maps to go to Pescara, Teramo, Silvi, Bisenti and many other places, but learned to plan our route in advance and ignore Google’s directions to go off the main roads. It will take you on weird excursions, on bad roads, if you allow it to. This is particularly true between the house and the main road to Rome, the A24, near Teramo. The best route from the A24 to the house is along SS81, just stay on SS81 to SP32 which takes you nearly all the way to the house. Before leaving Rome (or some other starting point) make sure the Google maps app on your phone is working correctly, and it knows where you are. Some of our phones did not work in Italy before calling our service providers, even though we had supposedly set them up for international service. Do not even think about renting a car with an automatic transmission. They are very expensive and rare here and returning or exchanging them is restricted. A 4-wheel drive or van is recommended. Most of the roads are good, but narrow. The road down to the house is steep and graveled dirt, but well-marked. The pool is not heated and can’t really be used except in the very warm months. Exploring the nearby towns and wineries is a lot of fun and the local wine (Abruzzo or Abruzzi) is wonderful. Some of the wineries sell wine in returnable and reusable bottles, which is very cool, and the wine sold this way is better than you might think. Hikes along the roads around the house are very nice and full of beautiful flowers. We never tired of the views and were astounded all over again every morning.
