Yes! Actual Pretty Boy Floyd Hideout, corroborated by eye witnesses at the time on tape! He walked in the now Key Bank in Sylvania, Ohio with Michigan license plates and robbed the bank, got away and this was his hideout! He was caught a couple of months later in Toledo, Ohio and sentenced to 12-15 years in the Columbus , Ohio State penitentiary. On the train ride down he jumped out the bathroom window of the moving train and went on to rob banks for another 4 years. After Melvin Pervis and the Feds killed John Dillinger he became public enemy #1 until Melvin Purvis and the Feds finally caught up to him and killed him in southern Ohio. The original cottage home is totally private with another cottage home next door (duplex). You have your own private, original home with the ambiance of the most famous gangster!
(upstairs is a 2 bedroom but you need to walk through the larger bedroom to get to the 2nd bedroom). You will love this place! 1930's speakeasy feel. In the small community of Luna Pier, Michigan and you are in the heart of it all! Right next door to the Luna Pier Beach Cafe/bar & restaurant, the city park, Lighthouse, public beach and fishing pier on Lake Erie. Home/duplex is next door to a music venue-bar-restaurant. Live music plays late.
Great location! Just off exit #6 on I-75 Interstate just north of Toledo, Ohio and south of Monroe, Michigan. 35 minute drive south of Detroit Metro Airport and Detroit, Michigan.

Summary: We needed a place for the weekend while we were in town. Views of the lake, walking distance to great food, and such neat history were all cherries on top! The host was very accommodating and easy to contact. Such a neat little house!

Summary: Had everything you need for the stay. Is close to the beach, bars, and restaurant that are in walking distance. Would highly recommend especially if you’re into history and the sights that are offered. Also if you manage to adventure out a little further, the Toledo Art Museum is definitely worth checking out with only paying a $10 parking fee for entry!

Summary: This is the place that Pretty Boy Floyd stayed when he was in MI. So, we knew the furniture and place was in that older setting. It was very cool and just like the pictures. Perfect for 2 people and if you do t mind the extra bedroom being connected to the main bedroom in the loft, you could have a 2 couples or a family. It’s right next to Luna Pier cafe, which was fun. They had a band on Saturday night but by 10:30 the music wrapped up, so that was nice. It was super clean. The owner was very responsive.

Summary: Booking was easy and quick. We had an amazing time. The restaurant next door had just closed down for the winter season so it was nice and quiet in the town. Almost felt like a small town you would see in a Hallmark Christmas movie. If you love history or staying by the lake at a great price this is the place for you.

Summary: Was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed this place. It's right next to the pier and a bar/cafe so that's nice. It's clearly an old house but it's clear that they put care into the place. Those stairs are no joke though -- very narrow and a tight squeeze, unlike modern stairs. Reading the articles and snippets throughout the place was educational and fascinating.
