Summary: The property is colocated to the owners house which was not very well kept but it's quiet and they kept to themselves. The kitchen appliances are older, and the stovetop/countertops could have been cleaner. We didn't eat in the house so it wasn't an issue. You can walk to the historic district but in the heat recommend driving. Recommend for a weekend trip, we explored the area on bikes and it's close to C&O canal with parking.

Summary: The property is just as advertised. Located within walkind distance of trails, resteraunts, and shopping. Would definitely rent again. Cathy is a great communicator also.

Summary: We wanted to spend a quiet weekend in Harpers Ferry and this place was perfect. It is waking distance to town which was a big plus! The place was very clean and there was plenty of parking. I appreciated the texts and information from the hosts, it made checking in and getting to the place very easy. For those traveling with dogs, the backyard is not at all secure or private. It is open to another property as is one side of the deck. I was surprised by this, but it did not majorly impact our stay.

Summary: Location was ideal. Charming cottage that was true to online pictures. Dog friendly with nice size yard. Need a little TLC.. place was a little dusty. But would recommend and stay there again

Summary: Booking process was easy, communication was great and all check-in information was provided prior to arrival. Upon arrival there were a few issues (cleanliness of unit), but Cathy, the property manager was accommodating and very responsive. The unit is a cute little cottage, that was very comfortable and homey. We really enjoyed the location and will definitely stay here again!

Summary: The Canal Cottage worked out perfectly for the pup and us this Thanksgiving in Harper's Ferry. The rest of the family stayed at a beautiful, big house just two minutes away. Everyone slept great! The only improvement would be a secure fenced in yard. Thanks for everything. Sorry we bothered you about the lock. I have no idea what we did wrong the first ten tries!

Summary: This home was spacious and well decorated. It was in a quiet neighborhood but within walking distance to downtown Harper's Ferry. There were two wonderful restaurants just a block away. Kelley's Farm Kitchen and Snallygasters Cafe and Wine Bar. No problem with parking which is a problem in Harper's Ferry. We had a nice patio to sit outside after a long day of hiking. Overall, a wonderful weekend. Our hosts, Cathy and Bryan were very gracious. We look forward to our next visit. Thank You!

Summary: Overall, a good place to stay, especially with dogs. The house was clean but yard could use a little sprucing up. Someone did clear up yard debris while we were away from the house. Wonderful neighborhood.
