Positive: This was a lovely old property family owned for generations in the heart of rural scicily. The owners were extremely welcoming and passionate about their home, business and its heritage. Great location for visting nearby Corleone or the other old towns in the region and a nice retreat from the city of Palermo. The evening meal was well cooked and local.

Positive: Lovely location, lovely family hosting, a really great place to stay. Giovanni and Angela are great hosts, if you're doing dinner, make sure you skip lunch because the meals are very, very generous. The breakfasts are also very large and very sweet focused. The view from the pool is incredible. Our kids had a horse riding lesson with Yasmine and she was brilliant and confidence inspiring as well. Really brilliant, thanks!

Negative: Listen to Giovanni and all the other reviews about not using Google maps! The roads, especially to the south of the property are not roads, they're deeply washed out dirt tracks unsuitable for hire cars. Do not make this mistake in Scicily unless you are in a proper 4x4 and can handle off road driving (which would make it really fun).

Positive: We really enjoyed our stay at Agroturismo Ridocco! The property is lovely, with a nice pool with a lot of seating options and stunning views of the hillside. The room itself was incredibly spacious and comfortable. We didn’t partake in the dinner, but the breakfast was nice :). The host, Giovanni, was kind, welcoming and helpful.

Positive: The hospitality of the owners was unbelievable. Such a warm couple that made us a home cooked 4 course dinner for amazing price. They make you feel at home. Beautiful villa with amazing courtyard, pool and view. Room was traditional style and very comfortable. The quiet and the nature made for a very authentic and relaxing trip. Don’t doubt but book this, you will not regret it, we will definitely go back!

Positive: The location is beautiful in the rolling hills and farmland, breakfast en diner where good. Big portions and good quality. Friendly owners. Nice garden to chill.

Negative: For such a beautiful location I think they can make more out of it. The rooms are quite dark and there is not really a terrace with view. Except for at the pool but it had not really an inviting terrace to sit on. And we thought it could have been more clean inside but maybe that is the charm of a farmhouse. It smells a bit like cigarettes and cats.

Positive: Cats! Loads of them greeting us in the little courtyard! Beautiful house, in rural setting. Evening meal was fantastic - too much! Great directions to get there.

Negative: As this is rural, it would be nice to have a bit more to do before dinner - the hosts could maybe offer a drink to have by the pool or in the living room. Also a bit more flexibility when to eat - we are cycling and waiting until after 8:30 pm for dinner, and breakfast at 8:30 is late for us. I sort of expected a bit of home- style welcome to the house, bit of information (history, about farming) and local knowledge and suggestions - but there wasn't really a chance for that.
