The ah! Guest House is located in the fisherman’s village of Paternoster, 3.7 mi from Cape Columbine Lighthouse. It features air-conditioned rooms with and free WiFi in the rooms and public areas. Most of the rooms at the guest house are loft rooms, located upstairs. All rooms are soundproofed and artistically decorated. Each features a bathroom with toiletries, bathrobes and slippers. Every room comes with a small seating area, an electric kettle and a mini-fridge. Chef’s Table Dinners as prepared by the in-house chef are available maximum 2-3 times per week and served at the communal dinner table. Bookings need to be made in advance. Positive: The breakfasts were excellent. Very creative dishes. A wonderful change from the usual South African breakfast of egg and bacon, toast and jam.

Negative: On the way home having a careless driver reverse into us in Riebeek Kasteel and then having a tyre blowout on the R44. In temps of 38.5!

Summary: A perfect weekend with the highlight being the five course meal.
