Positive: The staff was very friendly and the rooms were clean
Negative: There was absolutely no atmosphere in this hotel. Whereas we can imagine that this has once been a beautiful hotel, it now has an appearance of faded glory. The bar facilities were not in use, the large shared space (with beautiful views) was only used for breakfast, which was also very basic. We were told that we could bring our own food in if we wanted, but the whole atmosphere was not inviting (no music - very desolate). There were no tea/coffee facilities in the room and there was no fridge. The shampoo etc was cheap and all single use (plastic). Being in our room, we could hear every conversation in the corridor We found the accomodation really disappointing, especially for the price we paid for it (if we would have paid one third of the price, we wouldn’t have had any expectations and it would have been fine). We left a day early to find a better more vibrant place.

Positive: Good sized rooms with all the necessary facilities. The pool is great and great fun when the local aqua aerobics club turns up. Good breakfast and helpful staff. The location is v quiet and provides good views over the town. There’s no restaurant but you can bring your own food if you like.
Negative: It’s a long uphill walk from the centre of town, especially in the summer heat, so better suited to people with cars I think.

Negative: The wall isn't sound proof. I had down stairs room, heard people talking upstairs into midnight. Even heard unpleasant noises from next door. The hotel is far from city center area.
