Positive: Fabulous as close to all attractions of old town . friendly staff and clean facilities and so many food options within short stroll .120 metres walk from Bern train station too.

Positive: The location was good, close to the train station at the edge of the old city. Despite being completely remote, the staff was able to help me by switching my room when the original assigned room smelled bad. He later told me there was something that smelled in the kitchen (yes, kitchen). The rooms were large, like a studio apartment, with a small kitchen and a couch. It would have been a good space for a longer stay.

Negative: The biggest downer is that checkout time is early (10 a.m.), and there is no place to leave your luggage while I explored the city. Fortunately, I could rent a locker at the train station. I would prefer staff on site, but his attentiveness via messages solved my problem. Not sure what might have happened if there hadn’t been an open room, though. A small thing, but the bathroom had a lot of unused space. Just adding a little more counter space in there would be helpful.

Positive: We have no complaint, it was a good well kept hotel and the location was good next to the train station and the market place where there are many shops and restaurants. It was a good value for the price and the room was spacious and comfortable.

Negative: We had trouble finding it but this is probably due to my ability with google maps. Maybe if the hotel specified which exit to take from the train station it would help. It is actually quite simple when you know. We received an email a few days before we arrived with the code to open the door and our room. There is a person there on the fist floor, but we did not know this.

Positive: The room was large and even had a kitchenette, which we did not expect. The host, although not there 24/7, was extremely helpful in finding info on a train to our next stop - we were new to the Swiss train system. He went above and beyond to help us out!!

Negative: Not the fault of the hotel! But the one night we stayed was extremely noisy down in the street - brawling, shouting until 2 or 3 at least. I have no idea if this is ongoing or not.
