Positive: Wonderful quiet place outside the crowded Ubud. Pool is beautiful and clean. Fresh breakfast is served to your villa with enough good choices. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. After we left they discovered that we forgot a pair shoes, the arranged sending it by post to our next hotel on time!

Positive: We stayed here for a week, as a family with two young children (4 and 8), and it was absolutely brilliant! The villa was so clean and spacious and we loved having the pool. It was completely private and felt really luxurious. The staff were amazing and are the real selling point, going above and beyond with everything. Breakfast was brought to us each morning and laid out with such care. There are plenty of excellent local restaurants within walking distance - we particularly loved The Pengkolan Warung; Warung JB; The Botanist; and Tini Kitchen. The sounds of the surrounding jungle were a pleasure to listen to. We also had a couple of massages and can't recommend this enough. If you're after somewhere tranquil outside the hustle of central Ubud, this place is perfect. It's also worth noting that some reviews mention having to walk far to their rooms or difficult access - this wasn't the case for us at all and, even despite being just a few metres from where we were dropped off, the staff greeted us straight away and insisted on carrying all our luggage. Some reviewers have also mentioned there not being many places to eat - I can only imagine they didn't go out and look as we had our pick of places within walking distance!
Negative: The food options within the villa itself were quite basic, but it was still really handy to be able to occasionally order a simple pasta for our children, for example, and the staff were always so attentive. There are also so many lovely restaurants locally, that there's not really a need to rely on eating in the villa. The beds were not the comfiest and the pillows were pretty dreadful, but everything else was so good that we would still go back in a heartbeat. It would also have been great to have some cushions on the sun loungers. These final bits would really make it 5*.

Positive: We stayed in Bali and Flores for almost three weeks staying in a variety of wonderful places. Alam Dania was our favorite. It truly does live up to the glowing reviews. We started off our trip here and stayed for 6 nights, and were sad to leave. We arrived late at night and were greeted by the staff and taken to the property by motorbike. The staff was immediately welcoming and even offered to make us dinner, by this time it was midnight. When we woke up, we were blown away by the stunning villas, beautiful grounds and the setting amongst the rice terraces. The owner, Punia, is such a personable host. We learned a lot about the region from him. The staff including Nengah, Restu, Epi, and Intan could not have been more warm and helpful. They were always available by Whatsapp for any needs, questions or arrangements for restaurants, drivers and excursions. And they greeted my family by name, a nice personal touch. Breakfast, which is an assortment of tropical fruit, coffee, eggs or pancakes is served every morning at your residence. While we had our own pool with our two-bedroom wooden villa, we spent most of our time at the public pool which was serene and lovely. We always looked forward to coming back from our day and hanging out at the hotel. Do not miss the opportunity to have massages which take place in a relaxing outdoor spa setting, you only need to book an hour in advance. Our two-bedroom villa was spacious, well-appointed, always clean, with lovely outdoor bathrooms and communal spaces. We look forward to returning to Bali and staying at Alam Dania Cottage. It is truly special!

Positive: This place succeeded our expectations. It was our favorite place to stay. Very quiet, with an amazing garden, loads of beautiful animal sounds. The rooms were spacious, the bathroom beautiful with a big bathtub and outdoor shower. The staff was super friendly and helped us in every way. We can highly recommend this beautiful place and hope to come back soon.
