Positive: The staff was wonderful, and the location, though on the “far” end of the island from the airport, was close to some nice beaches and viewpoints. The breakfast and dinner buffets at the restaurant were fabulous.

Positive: Absolute highlight were two of the staff members: “Moana” and Mohammad (sorry, probably wrong spelling). Both were extremely helpful and had a very high feeling for service. The villas are quite spacious for Japanese standards and we could comfortably stay with 4 adults and 1 baby. The breakfast buffet was generous and had options for Japanese as well as Western taste. The evening program in the Okinawan food court was very interesting and fun to join. The hotel has a small beach at the coral reefs which is great for snorkeling! I highly recommend to book a rental car. The service from the resort is reasonable and very convenient to book and use. A rental car is necessary on Miyakojima in order to visit all the beautiful sights.
Negative: Very limited food options during lunch time.
Summary: Good place for big families / groups :-)

Positive: Unique accommodation, similar to duplexes. Two levels, upstairs is a simple tatami area. Two beds downstairs, one is an actual bedroom and the other bed is adjoined to the living room but a step down into an open room. Breakfast was included, nice array of options.
Negative: I was very disappointed to see that people with tattoos were not allowed to use it. I did not see anything on the website or on my original booking that mentioned this. If I had, I would not have booked here. I have only heard of this rule at onsen. It’s an outdated discriminatory practice that has no relation to tourists (who are clearly not yakuza). And a bit ridiculous if you are going to allow tattooed people to check into your hotel, walk around the resort with visible tattoos, eat meals in your restaurant with visible tattoos but don’t you dare swim in the pool. So long story short … we travel to Japan regularly and will be returning to the area for a full week next year — but will NOT stay here again.

Positive: The hotel is located close to beautiful sea and the hotel is surrounded by rich nature. The hotel staff were very kind and smiled all the time. We really had a wonderful time.
Negative: We booked a dinner buffet for dinner, and there was no explanation about the main dishes when we made the reservation. When we arrived at the restaurant and were about to enjoy the buffet, the staff just told us that they will serve the main dishes. However there was still no explanation of what kind of dish it was, and we had no choice. They served lamb steaks for my family but the matter was my son and I don’t eat lamb. I think it could be a big problem if we were vegetarians. And the lamb steaks were all rare baked. I think at least they should have asked us how we want the steak baked like rare ,medium or well done. Inevitably, my husband ate all of them. Except it ,the hotel was fantastic!
