Enjoy a stay on the picturesque Allegheny River in the historic town of Franklin with private river access! Feel at home with our fully equipped kitchen, organic coffee, quality linens and soaps. River views from almost every room in the house
The house consists of an upper and a lower unit, this is for the upper unit only, Guest will have sole access to the main floor and upstairs of the home, with its own entrance and parking and no shared walls with the lower unit. Only shared space would be the backyard along the water. The yard does have two fire pits and firewood provided.
Indoor Living: Smart TV, modern farmhouse interior, open layout, interior water views, ample natural light. Three comfy queen beds for a pleasant nights sleep.

Summary: We had a great time staying at the property. The house was very clean, kitchen drawers/cabinets were labeled so we knew where to find things. It was great being on the river, with easy access to OARS (right next door) for our canoe trip. And a quick bike ride away from the Allegheny River bike trail. Weather was fantastic, too - which made for a wonderful weekend. My only complaint was that there was a lower unit which was also a VRBO. There was a deck attached to the lower unit- and that was where the grill was. The lower unit was occupied, so it felt uncomfortable going onto 'their deck' to use the grill. We wound up moving it to the concrete pad off the deck, so we didn't feel like we were intruding on guests in the lower until.. We also had to share the backyard with the other guests. Suggest updating the title/listing of the property so it reflects Unit #1 and Unit # 2. We would have probably rented both units if we would have known. Bottom line- it was a wonderful property and a great location. We'll be back.....

Summary: What a fantastic river retreat! The house was immaculate and very well equipped. The location was perfect for our family gathering. Many trips up and back to Bandstand Park along Elk Street. Will definitely stay again when in the area.

Summary: We came to town for Christmas. The house was exactly as pictured. Small amount of Christmas decorations and it was the perfect amount. Clean house with absolutely everything you could want/need. Hosts communicated clearly and in a timely manner.

Summary: Our family spent a week at this rental right on the Allegheny River. The house was very clean, and the furnishings/decor were very modern. Cupboards in the kitchen were labeled so it was very easy to find things—and the owners stock quite a bit, including spices. We had the good fortune of seeing the July 4th fireworks right in the backyard before lighting a bonfire. We kayaked on the river from OARS, the neighbor on the other side of the public landing. And OARS also hosted a band on Friday night which is open to the public, just BYOB. Had to deal with some days of rain, but it was relaxing just to veg in the house, do puzzles, play card games, read books, and watch movies. All in all, a great place to stay and explore Franklin and the surrounding small river towns. Highly recommend and we look forward to coming back!
