Positive: Brenda the site manager was amazing in getting us settled in especially at our late arrival time of 7.45pm. She explained everything diligently and pointed us in the right direction from the moment we arrived. The facilities were amazing, gardens manicured, with a wonderful array of vegetation, our room was fresh, clean and the communal kitchen was always well stocked and convenient. We had a ground floor villa that was everything a family of 4 needed and more and also with its own kitchenette which was handy. It was well appointed with a very spacious bathroom. The decor and bedding were quite new, quality towels, and our daughters loved the fact that the bathroom had all the hidden extras they needed but never found at other places we've stayed - eg: hair straightener and hair curler - a must have for every teenage girl. We loved the location, proximity to the beach and not far from town center. As we were just travelling through by car and for a brief stopover and quick dinner in town, we decided to scout around on Booking.Com and that's how we came across the Aloha Resort. We are glad we did because that on-the-spot decision to book and stay for 2 nights uncovered a hidden gem and we will definitely come back and stay longer upon our return to Byron Bay later this year.

Negative: We had access to the one internal parking spot next to our villa which was super convenient, but everyone else had to settle for on street parking. Not a deal breaker but can be a little cumbersome getting to your belongings when required. Otherwise, quite frankly, there was nothing we really didn't like about Aloha Resort. We travel often and the Aloha Resort was definitely a place I'd recommend without hesitation.

Positive: The room was nice and bed was comfortable.

Negative: We were there for 5 nights and our towels were changed only once. The dirty towels were outside our room for 4 days and never removed. The garbage bins in the room were never emptied and beds weren’t made. There was really no service that was provided. It was more like an air bnb in that sense. We paid extra for the breakfast and expected something better but it was self service (with eggs and bread provided) and there was some cereal/yogurt.
