Positive: It was clean but ordinary.

Negative: When we arrived late at night it was difficult to figure out which door we needed to put in the code, as they all had keypads. The staff wouldn’t respond to our calls. We left messages and still haven’t had a reply! The shower and toilet were tiny and cramped and the bed uncomfortable. The wind howled through the gap between the two buildings. There was a sheet of iron loose on the roof and it made a loud noise all night.

Positive: Royal King room was spacious. Shower had a luxurious SteamMist function. Breakfast was accessible all day and contained a variety of teas and coffees. Location was scenic (but not all rooms have river view). Own medium-sized fridge in room.

Negative: Breakfast needed some protein. Royal King room was echoey, cold, and showed its age (cracked/uneven tiles, water damage on vanity, lounger broken). Broken down vehicle taking up parking space, and parking was hard to find on busier night. No access to lower room with treadmill as shown in pictures. Pack-n-play for toddler was initially missing mattress and needed much back-and-forth and waiting to have manager/owner repair for acceptable use. Room could not be made dark, and a porch light was on just outside of window until late.

Summary: Along River Ridge won awards back in 2015 or so but seems like it hasn’t had much maintenance since.

Negative: Having a private bathroom which was separate from our room. I also felt our room was basic to be called a “deluxe room”

Summary: Lovely place to stay, particularly if you’re on a budget. There are some lovely walks within 100 metres of the house

Positive: Location was beautiful. Great idea!!

Negative: Hot tub is old and dosent hold heat. Bathroom was just pumping heat all night, also had a big hole in the floor. Bedroom fans need to be replaced ( so loud and old and broken ) common room is an amazing little space. No way to adjust heat in the room. Just on all night long.. parking is a bit tricky. Dont like the fact that if you upgrade rooms to river view you dont have a on-site bathroom. Very awkward walking to the other side where people are sleeping to use s washroom.

Positive: Big kitchen and free breakfast cereal, the kitchen ware is good enough for cooking. We like the coffee and hot chocolate. We have the private bathroom setup, which is very good for me and my wife, we don’t need to share the bathroom with others. TV and common living room is also entertaining.
