Summary: The apartment benefits from views of mountains on all sides and boasts an underground car park where your car can be safely stored. As well as having skiing facilities there are many hiking trails close by that take you over and around the mountains. There is a good rail service and the town which is within walking distance from the apartment has some excellent restaurants selling traditional foods as well as catering for a range of tastes. The apartment is well-equipped and comfortable and there is a range of well-organised information which gives details about the area, the amenities and leisure activities. A range of games and books are also provided. Although there is no washing machine / tumble dryer a laundry service is offered. The pool and sauna are a nice way to relax at the end of a busy day but there are time limits when these can be accessed and the pool is maintained weekly so is unavailable for one morning per week. There is also a gym area but we did not use these facilities. You are asked to contact Angelo the rental manager half an hour prior to your arrival and he meets you by the apartment. This system works well - not only is Angelo friendly and helpful but also a fount of knowledge regarding local attractions and activities. When we arrived in the evening following a drive through mountainous roads, the complimentary bottle of wine was a welcome touch!

Summary: We were very happy at this lovely and clean property in beautiful Chateau d'Oex. It is has everything you need and we had a comfortable stay. The building is well run and the pool was a treat. We would definitely love to return one day.

Summary: My family and I were extremely happy with our stay at La Residence Rosat. Liz and Steve’s apartment is very well appointed, the building is quiet and secure, and the on-site manager helpful. We were not overly disappointed by the lack of snow during our stay, as we were able to take full advantage of the amenities in the building (pool, sauna…) and visit local attractions by train (Gruyere, Gstaad). The only downsides were the uneven wi-fi coverage in the apartment and the 15-20-minute walk to the supermarket and train station. Otherwise, I recommend this rental without hesitation.

Summary: Wonderful apartment with everything as described. We love to cook and the clean kitchen was well equipped. The quaint town has a large grocery store, two bakeries, several restaurants and a train station all a 10-15 minute walk away (uphill coming back to the apartment!). The view from the terrace into the valley is spectacular with hot air balloons spotted frequently in the early morning hours. The beds were comfortable with good reading lights and the rooms had ample storage space. Living room and dining room were also cozy. The swimming pool was a nice to have with few people using it. The internet connection in the apartment was a bit spotty but always accessible in one area. Loads of maps and guides full of activities for several weeks (summer and winter) were very helpful. The area has lots of hiking and is within easy driving distance to Gruyere (town with castle), Caillier (Nestle) chocolate factory in Broc, Gstaad. A rail trip to Montreux is rewarded with a scenic view of the lake. Would definitely recommend this for both a relaxing or active vacation!

Summary: Excellent apartment. Spotless and very well furnished. Views from roof terrace or balconies are lovely. Swimming pool was perfect for the kids and quite often we were the only ones using it. Chateau D'Oex is lovely and has an excellent large supermarket as well as many things for children such as mini golf, bowling, playground. Patrick the apartment manager and Angelo the lettings manager were both extremely helpful and friendly. Overall a fantastic location to relax and explore the surrounding area, perfect for families.

Summary: This apartment is really beautiful and exceeded our expectations. It is in excellent condition, very clean and well maintained. Very spacious and airy. The main balcony has an outstanding view but unfortunately it is unsafe for toddlers, unless very closely supervised. A cot was unavailable to us also (which we were aware of beforehand) but we managed fine and had a wonderful holiday. The owners of this apartment 8292 were very friendly to deal with everything was straightforward in regards to our booking and they were very helpful at all times and had satifactory answers to all our questions. Chateau d'oex is a beautiful town and the locals are very friendly and welcoming!

Summary: We found the apartment to be very comfortable and well maintained. Everything that we needed was provided. All the facilities were first class and well looked after.The views from the balcony and terrace were beautiful and even my husband who usually can't sit still for more than a few minutes would just sit and take in the scenery for hours We found all the information leaflets and maps very useful and made use of the books that were available.. The village which is only a ten minute walk away had a good variety of shops and places to eat and the supermarket had everything we needed when we ate in the apartment. We found the roads very quiet, which is a good thing when you're driving 'on the wrong side' and looking for turnings! The chocolate factory (about thirty mins. drive ) was a big hit! All in all a great holiday. Would love to go back sometime.

Summary: The apartment is excellent and the facilities available within the apartment complex are just perfect. The accomodation is comfortable and very well equiped, and in a beautiful setting with stunning views. We spent 7 days there, a mix of skiing and relaxation. Skiing for us was a 30 minute drive up to the Glacier 3000 (being April you have to go high) - but we prefer this time of year as it's not crowded, and the weather is mostly very good too ! The indoor swimming pool area (within the building just downstairs from the accomodation) is top class. I used the gym a couple of times and spent a few days (when not skiing) by the pool - it looks out into the gardens and is a warm and very relaxing environment. There were not many people around at this time of year so it felt private and exclusive ! In Chateau d'Oex there are a number of restaurants and some pleasent coffee & pastry type places. A variety of shops, bakeries and a supermarket are available if you want to eat in - which we did quite often. Overall it was a great holiday and a real pleasure staying at La Residence Rosat - it's on our list of places to go back to for sure !

Summary: "The apartment has spectacular views over the mountains which in February were snow clad. It was in immaculate condition and contained everything we needed to make our stay very comfortable. In relation to all apartments in other ski areas I have stayed in it was very spacious. The communal areas were extremely well maintained and the staff we met friendly and polite. The pool and sauna were both welcoming after a day on the slopes. The ski areas were varied and there was no queuing at the lifts which for February half term is virtually unheard of. Opportunities to walk and snow shoe were also good. There was an information booklet provided by the owner which listed useful information and it was good that piste maps were provided in the apartment and also in the communal areas. There was no problem with noise from other apartments which I have found a problem in the past with other rented accommodation. I would recommend a stay in this apartment and in the pleasant village of Chateau d'Oex"
