Positive: This self-catering apartment, booked through Booking.com, had everything we could wish for. The phots shown on Booking.com's website are a true representation of the facilities in the apartment at no. 23. It is within a 5 min walk from the bus and train station, 10 mins from Holzmarkt, an excellent supermarket that has everything, including a very nice cafe with all usual cakes, rolls and savouries as you would expect from a German eatery. A 25 min walk takes you into Verden an Aller with its shopping precinct, there Is the Dom, a cathedral type church, and you can even have breakfast on a cruise up the river. This apartment is much more than just a holiday-let, judging by it's furnishings it's more like someones home, someone with impeccable tastes perhaps and with a musical background, there is even an a very expensive looking electronic piano. Pity we can't play.
Negative: In our opinion there was nothing to dislike about the apartment during our stay at no. 23 in June 2023. The only thing that maybe a problem to someone not so able, would be the winding staircase to the flat, it has 20 or so steps and so could be something to consider perhaps. In the event of very hot weather there is no air con, although we found the flat kept quite cool in the time we were there in June '23
Summary: We hope that anyone lucky enough to stay at no. 21 enjoys their time there, as indeed we did.
