This amazing home on the Atlantic Ocean is the perfect getaway in Key Colony Beach, Florida. Key Colony is part of Marathon Key, which is a 10 mile stretch of island in the middle of the Key's Chain.
We are 2 hours from Miami International Airport and only an hour's drive to Key West. The location of this property is perfect for visiting anywhere in the Keys. This area has so much to offer from snorkeling, diving, fishing, boating, kayaking to some of the best restaurants and shopping.
This 5000 sq ft. home offers 6 bedrooms and 6 1/2 bathrooms (4 ensuites). A large great room, kitchen area with bar and even a movie room. The upstairs has its own lounge/TV room.
The pool has a large entertaining area recessed into the house. You can relax in your large, private pool or hot tub and enjoy some of the most magnificent sunsets, anywhere.
There is a boat lift that can accommodate a 20,000lb boat available.

Summary: This home is a remarkable resort within its boundaries. Over 5,000 square feet of luxury from kitchen, living room, bedroom suites as well as two large movie theaters. The sea level had upscale outside furniture that complemented the beautiful spa and pool. We kayaked, snorkeled and fished. There are 6 or more bikes available for your use. A special thanks to George, the caretaker, who was there for us to help us enjoy this beautiful property.

Summary: Pros- fun funky architecture. Great neighborhood. Amazing views (especially sunsets) Cons-owners have a lot of their personal items in house. Boat dock occupied with owners boat and beach/sea wall not really useable if you rent a boat or pontoon.(A lot of boat traffic causing waves on sea wall). In fairness, the owner did warn about this challenge prior to arrival, but they should post on the listing. Suggestions to improve: 1. Information list for renters would be helpful. Trash days, do’s and don’ts, and local recommendations would help. 2. Professional cleaning before renting. We found black dog hair and dust/dirt in main living/dining area, some pieces of trash in the pool, the recycle trash can outside was already full when we arrived, and utensils/dishes put away unwashed. 3. Pest control: We killed a lot of small bugs and small roaches. We found syrup spilled in the bottom of one of the pantries-probably attracted many of the bugs.. We tried to clean, but it had hardened and we could not wipe it up. (From pantry with the owners food and syrup). 4. The pool needs to be refinished. Many tiles missing on bottom, walls, and waterline. Too pretty of a property not to have a nice pool. 5. A few minor issues like both dishwashers (love having 2) missing roller wheels on bottom rack. No hot water at kitchen sink. Carpet stains in upstairs bedrooms (maybe pet stains?) Not a lot of reviews on this property, so they may be working out some of the bugs early in the process. We would still recommend and return for a fun family/friends trip to the Keys.
