Summary: Enjoyed our stay in Gilmanton. The property had everything we needed. Some spotty internet issues that the owner was attentive to. So much to do on and off property. Great stay!

Summary: This is a fully functional house, a cut above the 'summer cottage' level, with all the conveniences, while located in a beautiful, quiet location next to a nature preserve and a pristine pond. Doesn't hurt that it's in my home town, and down the road from the churchyard where many family and friends lie. Steve is a terrific host, very responsive and helpful; he made the whole process easy and flexible.

Summary: Great communication with the Host, Steve. I mean like, Wow, I thought I answered emails quickly! The home was very comfortable, clean and well cared for. Cabinets well stocked with condiments and kitchen equipment and utensils. There were so many nice charming touches and, at the same time, the were nice hi-tech touches, great wifi and smart TVs.

Summary: This home was really cute. It's tucked away so you feel like you have the top of the hill (almost) to yourself. The driveway is shared with neighbors, and their house is visible through the trees. The yard is spacious, with a fire pit area that we used often. The deck has comfy chairs, a grill and a heater (which we didn't use but I'm sure it comes on handy in the cooler months!). I was a little bummed that the water access was farther away than I had hoped, but I think that was my error. It required us to walk down a fairly steep trail and drag the kayaks through the woods to the water. Anyone with mobility challenges would not be able to enjoy the water. I did it with two kids and three kayaks and it was a lot. But it was beautiful and we were grateful for the use of the kayaks. The pond is pretty, but not great for swimming. We found Crystal Lake just a few miles down the road, and the kids enjoyed catching frogs and swimming there. We also took day trips to Squam Lake Science Center, Clark's Trading Post, the Flume Gorge and Saco River Tubing. The house was great. The kitchen was equipped with anything you'd need, and the beds were very comfortable. We were very happy that air conditioners were available in almost every room. We were also grateful for use of the washer and dryer. Overall, the house was really nice. Steve checked on us a few times and answered questions very quickly. Thanks for a great stay!

Summary: We celebrated a fun and relaxing Christmas here. The house had everything we needed- Steve even put up a gorgeous Christmas tree so Santa had a place to stash the gifts. The house has plenty of space to spread out, and a lovely view out every window. The kitchen was well stocked (there was even veg oil for our brownies mix). My teenage son and I shared many special hours trying to destroy each other in ping-pong. The WiFi was reliable for work and entertainment. My mom got hooked on watching cooking shows on Netflix on the large TV. The basement is beautifully finished and has lots of space for games and hanging out. We were grateful for the washing machine and the snow plow that came to clear the driveway after our white Christmas. Our morning ritual was walking down the snowy path to the lake and exploring the surrounding trails. Our favorite breakfast spot was Yolk & Co.- which was a short drive away. On Christmas Eve we enjoyed the holiday lights at the speedway. Everything in this house is clean and comfortable and welcoming. We'd definitely recommend a stay here.
