Negative: Staff was not courteous, was on phone while I was checking in. Slid keys across to me, mumbled information. He's been there for a long time and every year is not nice.

Summary: Ok comfort but management not courteous.

Positive: The place was clean and the furnishings in the lobby were pleasant and well-maintained.

Negative: We felt a big lack of welcome from the desk manager - in fact, he intimidated me and his harshness seemed habitual. Both mornings we were disturbed by knocks on the door wanting . . . what? They knew we weren't checking out the first day, and we hadn't checked out yet the second day. One of those mornings, while my husband was in the bathroom, the maid opened the door. My husband had to holler that he was in the bathroom and we weren't ready to check out yet. Breakfast was limited in variety and amount. There was the opportunity to make a waffle, and there were some little muffins, but almost nothing that wasn't sweet. I managed to get a small bagel and some yogurt. The second day was not re-stocked from the first, so there was no yogurt or much of anything else. A sign said the coffee machine was broken, so there was no coffee.

Summary: It was a mixed bag.

Positive: Rooms very comfy., big pool with hot tub. Like the location by Alexandria. Small own but close to Carlos Creek vineyard or walk to brewery. Food at the Old Mill down the road or Leaf Valley a bit further.

Negative: Cable tv okay . Better shampoo conditione productsr. Breakfast less carb xhoixess would be nice and some fruit.

Summary: Good value, Quiet area.

Positive: Location and quiet. not busy.

Negative: The Owner/Receptionist is unpersonal. Never at front desk. Must pick up old phone on desk and dial "0". He then comes out of little office next to desk to answer question and then scurries back to the little office. Nothing in room regarding logging into WIFI. Went to desk and asked and he proceeded to tell me wrong wifi, but finally connected to "Grand Stay" wifi. At breakfast there was no decaf coffee and he did not offer to make any. just kept telling me only had what they had. However, Sunday morning, there was Decaf coffee available. The toilet had gross rust spots on the bowl under the lid. need new toilets. There was a card that asked about room service and to leave towels on floor if we wanted new towels. Well, no room service and we had to make do with what was left for next day. Was not going to bother the little man for towels.

Summary: Room was comfortable and quiet. beds were clean but sheets are old and should be replaced.
