Summary: This is a unique property right on the waterfront in the heart of the most picturesque town in Galicia. Kids loved the adventure. It is as it appears, not spacious but we managed fine with a family of 4. Ate right next door at O Bocai, fresh seafood and local white wine. Very helpful service from Patricia who checked up on us and gave us some good local tips. Drove 20min to the most spectacular beach. A great trip.

Summary: Unique property in really interesting town. Location is ideal, parking nearby is very easy. There is some noise because it’s right on the shore front, on a very touristy road and next to a restaurant (but much quieter once the restaurant closes) and this is really just a consequence of the unique nature of the property. We would not have wanted to miss the opportunity to stay here!

Summary: An interesting place to stay, only for the agile and those not afraid of heights with the loft bed. In need of a refresh in some areas. Great location for restaurants, in a lovely waterfront village.

Summary: My husband and I went to Casa de Sol for out 5th Wedding Anniversary and it was the perfect week together! Quaint, picturesque and having everything a traveler could need the granite building is snug in central Combarro and next to tons of tapa's restaurants for when you want dinner, but don't want to drive. Perfect for a couple, and possibly a child/teen on the pullout, we were very happy sleeping in the loft and loved watching the sunrise in the morning from bed! At high tide, the window is a scant foot from the water as tons of fish swim below I often fed them my leftover bread from breakfast, and my husband even threatened to go fishing one day!!! We took 2 day trips, one to Ponteverda 5km away, and to the capital of Galicia, Santiago de Compestela which was 40min away. Both cities had such interesting auras between the shopping district of Ponteverda to the medival cathedral in Santiago which is known as a destination of the religious pilgrimage "Camino de Santiago"/ St. John's way. However, as much as I loved walking through the old cities, my favorite part was the nearby beaches and walking the town at night! Between the waves in the day, and candle light at night.. this anniversary trip was better than my honeymoon! I hope to re-vist Casa de Sol for my 10th anniversary :D

Summary: We stayed four nights in the Casa do Sal and loved every minute. It is perfect for two people, fully equipped for self-catering and spotlessly clean. It is very relaxing, quiet but centrally located in Combarro, next to a couple of excellent restaurants and tapas bars (don't worry - you don't hear them at night.) From your window you can actually feed the fish when the tide is in, and having your first cup of coffee with that sea view is unbeatable. Belen and her mum who live just across the street were great neighbours and looked very well after us. Combarro is well placed for day trips in the Pontevedra region - don't miss the Islas Cies! Great hiking, countless beaches and many sights (including the Campo Lameiro Prehistorical Park) are all in good reach - probably easier to get to by car, though.

Summary: My husband and I stayed in Casa de Sal for a week. It was exactly as described - with all facilities - the window looks out on the sea and you can feed shoals of fish and the gulls. Very clean and the family across the way are very helpful. Loads of local information and maps available. Great for 2; 3 adults would be tight. Combarro itself is very picturesque but does get a lot of visitors. There are loads of bars and restaurants - the bar second on the left after turning right on leaving the house was very pleasant. The monsastery in San Juan is very beautiful. Pontevedra is the nearest city - 20 mins. away - very pretty. Beautiful beaches all over and we especially liked the ones on the southern side beyond Marin and the drive out to the end of the peninsula to Caba Udro has great walks. Stop in Bueu - huge fishing port. The northern side is more developed but Cambados very pretty. Drive around Illa da Arousa - northern end another huge shipping port with great bars and tapas. Southern end, beyond the camp sites a great walk through pine forests with tiny and huge beaches with nobody on them.
