Positive: The owners (Anna and her brother / husband) were simply delightful in every way, sadly I did not get the chance to have dinner with them but the brief meeting we had was tremendous. They speak perfect English which is very helpful for those of whom are not Italian speakers... and are just the most adorable people ... The apartment is adequate in every way , clean tidy and very well presented although a little spartan but catered for everything I needed from my stay, Kitchen well contained with everything you could require, the bedrooms were large and spacious albeit the matresses are somewhat rustic / basic , The roof terrace is a hidden gem and worth spending many hours up there on its own ..... in all a very delightful stay indeed. The pool which was actually in use during my visit (the 2nd pool mentioned in the description on booking.com is a complete building site) was beautiful and of a high quality but cold / unheated, however there are many sun loungers etc for possibly up to 100 persons which is nice. The water quality of the pool is crystal and well kept. There are facilities / play areas for small children on the site albeit again in need of severe maintenance and ground care but I am sure they have it all pristine during the busy months. There are many owners of other apartments / properties around the apartment i used, of all different nationalities and all adorable, very friendly causing no noise issues or disturbance what so ever and so very knowledgeable about the site and how it operates and all willing to tell you too ... had one particular evening at the sweetest rooftop BBQ simply from saying hello to the lady / host involved as I passed her whilst walking in the grounds..... instant invite for an inpromptue BBQ.. whats not to love about nice people!!
Negative: Non of my issues the owners could have solved and are I believe not their responsibility ,mosquitoes are a real REAL issue for example and the surrounding grounds do need spraying that is certain... The complex is surrounded by unkept grass waste land which provides the perfect breeding gound for the mosquitos .. and the so called private walkways to the beach again need attention and spraying. The second pool advertised is a complete building site as a new pool is being installed so that was a wee bit annoying ..... there is no shop, bar or restaurant on site and you have to go to the next complex along to get such facilities as NON exist on the site itself and an agreement is in place to use the next complexes facilities , sadly as I say zero facilities on the actual site... . Bare in mind that the facilities on the next complex are very expensive for bang average food and to be honest somewhat unfriendly for no good reason, they definately dont want guests from Pisso beach club in there.. The pool area needs some attention , weeding , bush cutting and garden maintenance etc but I assume that all gets done for the peak season, but the pool itself is pristine and very well cared for with incredible water quality albeit cold.. The same cannot be said for the waste disposal area... this is a complete eyesore and needs attention, only god knows how bad that must be in peak season ... because it was bad and I do mean bad and crawling with ferral cats It is my opinion that as a parent the lighting levels on the complex need attention at night as some areas can be very very dark indeed. The beach was a huge disapointment indeed , untidy, dirty and probably not worth the effort to get to it (20 min walk) given all the mosquitoes in the woodland around the path to it and on the beach itself.
