Positive: The house was cute, well maintained, and quiet. It was only a few minutes to Kerrville! The house was beautifully decorated. The beds were fantastic!

Negative: The grounds needed a little more work. The washcloths and towels could have been a better quality. The coffee pot did not work for us, but that could have been operator error. There were quite a few tiny bugs flying around inside, but that is probably the time of year.

Positive: Nice touches like shampoo and soap, coffee. Satellite TV. Good home layout with 2 bathrooms and washer/dryer. Very comfortable beds. Extremely clean. Brochures for the area. Tastefully decorated. Front porch with chairs to relax. Perfect for families.

Negative: A little bit on the edge of town. There was, though a gas station/mini mart on the main road and a dollar general on the way.

Positive: I was happy with the coffee and creamer available. The Ice maker worked a little slow, but it gave ice. I like the deck and front porch. I like that it had 2 bathrooms. It was comfortable and clean.

Negative: The ice maker and water dispenser were slow and the filter made a loud sound when it operated. My family said that the same happened with their fridge when they used an off-brand filter. It happened only sporadically, so it was tolerable.

Positive: The gated entrance was great for added security. We loved the outdoor space, tree covered and plenty of space to explore. We loved sitting on one of the many private outdoor deck areas where you can sit and relax under the stars. The home exceeded expectations, it was very clean and stocked with extra bedding, towels, and toiletries. There was plenty of space for everyone and the beds where very comfortable. I especially loved the beautifully appointed master bedroom with adjoining room with twin daybed and trundle bed perfect for the kids. Tons of natural light. The home was spacious and well and the kitchen was stocked with everything you would need to prepare a home cooked meal. The location was perfect. A short drive down the hill to a great convenience store if you need to get some grab and go meals and snacks. Less than a 10 minute drive to the river where you can rent kayaks, SUP boards, canoes. There is a great park there with a playground and tons of room to run and play or just relax under the shade trees and enjoy swimming in the cool river waters. Perfect for a quick family getaway, a short drive into Kerville where you can visit the James Avery Factory and the many shopping and dining options. The best part, no need to do any of the cleanup. Unlike most rentals where you have to strip bedding, wash dishes, etc. Or you get charged an extra cleaning fee (on top of the included fee), but not here. I texted owner to ask if we needed to do any of the precleaning and his response was "nope your all good, just lock up when you leave." I will definitely stay here again and would recommend it to everyone. The hosts were responsive and went out of there way to send a text upon arrival letting us know to reach out of there was anything we needed. 5 stars for sure for this superhost.

Negative: Would have loved an outdoor fire pit in the area with outdoor patio table and crushed granite landscape.

Summary: Perfect for a quite family getaway in the hill country at an affordable price.
