Positive: Very clean. Full kitchen with eating bench. Tatami style mattress on mat floor not standard bed, which we found very comfortable. A lot of information given about places to see and eat. 3mins walk from the beautiful Ritsurin Gardens. Main shopping arcade good 15min walk. Good contact from owners sending maps etc.

Negative: Some may not like the non-standard bed. It was very comfortable to us. Very small bathroom but this is the same as all our accomm.

Positive: The hosts were very friendly and helpful. They provide a folder full of useful information about the area. The accommodation was neat and clean. a 2 minute walk to the beautiful Ritsurin Garden. The train station is also walking distance. They also provide free parking.

Positive: We wanted to stay in a Japanese-style apartment and found this. Perfect for one or two persons. I appreciated that there was oil,soy sauce, salt and pepper there so we had the basics for cooking. Hosts were lovely and had prepared allot of information about the area.

Negative: Unfortunately the weather got cold while we were there so the apartment was pretty cold as soon as you turned off the heater and aircon

Summary: Nice little apartment, close to a train station, very nice hosts.

Positive: The hosts lived on site, very professional, and still very easy to approach with questions or concerns. They provided handmade guidebooks (in Japanese and English) for the neighborhood and also the general Takamatsu/Kagawa area. You can tell that they are comfortable hosting international visitors. The apartment was spotless and a great place to stay for multiple nights. Our room was a good size for two people. Three might've been a squeeze if staying for more than one night. 24-hour grocery store within walking distance was a plus. Parking is available on site as well. The hosts also offer free use of bicycles or umbrellas, if needed. Just ask! Also, the AC unit was so quiet that we didn't notice it was running; that was mindblowing. =)

Negative: The kitchen counter was lower than normal; I almost hurt my back from being hunched over while washing the dishes or cooking. There weren't very many restaurant options in the neighborhood, but the center of town is a short bus/train ride away, so not particularly a problem. There's also a hospital a few blocks away, so you may hear an ambulance or three passing by each day.

Positive: We're used to Japanese kindness but Kai-san and her husband were so wonderfully kind. The room was simple but very clean and the location was perfect, both for Ritsuin Park and the train to the different temples.
