Positive: The location was ideal. The room was well equipped, clean, safe and relatively comfortable considering the hotel is 3 star. The staff were accommodating and helpful. On site supermarket was also very useful.
Negative: This is an exceptionally noisy hotel. The rooms facing the street are almost uninhabitable due to traffic noise, as well as the restaurants and bars closing and clearing rubbish late at night. Street facing rooms are not for those wanting an early night. The rooms are also affected by noise from neighbouring rooms; above and sideways. I complained mid way through a 6 night stay to the hotel staff - after that nobody occupied the rooms above but the sideways noise persisted. Felt pads on the furniture would help reduce the noise - especially at 3.30! I accept it was outside of the hotels reach to do anything about the outside noise; other than to keep windows closed in the height of summer and use a fan. Fans were provided only on our last night. Needless to say, there was no aircon. As a result of the noise, we had to cut our stay short by a night with no refund. The hotel promised laundery facilities which were not available for our stay. The alternative was to take laundry to a neighbouring town and use the public facilities. The hotel staff offered their sheet cleaning machine but that was , in reality, not a viable option for everyday clothes.
Summary: Ok, but don't expect a peaceful night.

Positive: Spacious bathroom. Balcony outside stream very tranquil. Close to amenities.staff were helpful.
Summary: Stayed Xmas week staff were helpful and assisted professionally when required. Xmas presents was a lovely touch.
