Positive: I took my mom here before a big surgery. We don't live in luxury, but renting this place felt very luxurious despite the reasonable price. We watched falling stars from the balcony, slept extremely comfortably and enjoyed everything this place had to offer. The decor was gorgeous, place was clean, bed very comfortable, snacks delicious, staff very kind, location convenient, the view stunning. If I ever come back I'd definitely rent this place again. Thank you

Positive: Fantastic location, right in the center of Banska Bystrica. Couldn't be better. Thanks to its curious position, there's almost no street noise. Standup shower is outstanding, spacious, with glass door. Bathroom is 10/10 (well toilet is a bit crooked) mirror, shower, sink, shelving is all perfect. The hosts are kind enough to leave some small snacks, coffee, tea for guests which makes arrival easier. There's a good kettle (fast boiling, decent size). The terrace is the crown jewel. Great view of main square, surrounding mountains. As apartment is in center of city, there are fewer issues with insects. Air conditioning works well, I was there during a hot spell, so it mattered under the roof. I put it on when I was out to cool the place and then turned it off when I was in the apartment to avoid any noise or draft.
Negative: The desk is too small for serious work. I couldn't find the cups, saucers and plates until I was packing to leave. I had to bring a mug from a friend's house. Their could be a label on that drawer to help travellers find it. Some other guests got trapped in what is a poorly maintained lift when I was there. That lift should be properly repaired (damaged doors) to avoid this sort of incident. I started to walk up and down the stairs after rescuing the other guests (trapped for almost two hours in 30 degree heat). Look out for news about the lift from the owners before you book, unless you like to walk stairs (in that case it doesn't matter). New guests should post if the lift has really been fixed (no damaged doors, sensors, it will be obvious), as those who can't do six flights of stairs should be prudent about booking for the moment.
