The apartment is situated on the 1st floor of a complex that was built in the 1970's but was remodeled in 2008. It was the owner's residence until 2009. The apartment is something more than a vacation home. A lot of special care was put into it so that all guests feel truly at home. Summary: We loved this apartment. The rooms are all thoughtfully appointed and the host(s) were gracious and unintrusive. We felt like we had the place to ourselves. The place is a block from the main drag and centrally located between the restaurants and markets in Riposto and those in Giarre (other side of the railroad station). The source of heat is a mini split; it worked fine for us. I expect that it will work even better as an air conditioner. The only fly in the ointment was that the rooftop terrace wasn't accessible, but it was December, so evenings outside weren't really on the agenda. So, the balconies aren't places with sweeping vistas of the Ionian Sea, Taormina, and Mt. Etna, but as a place to stay it served us well. We took lots of pictures of those sweeping vistas from nearby!

Summary: Frank and hospitable host Antonio's genuine sicilian 2nd floor apartment is a perfect place for your staying. Top features are definately the spacious rooftop terace with views to Etna and the Med., barbecue, comfortable beds and easy access to the train station. This is the place to enjoy 100% real sicilian atmosphere in town centre.

Summary: Firstly the accommodation- The apartment is located in one of the minor roads that feed the main street Via Italia. There is no particular view from the apartment itself but the roof terrace provides a lovely view to the sea on one side and Etna on the other. Inside the apartment is spotlessly clean and well equipped. We were met by our amazing host Antonio who was really helpful. The air conditioning is limited but enough- we needed it for our stay as it was really hot! Riposto is not of itself a tourist destination but none the poorer for it. there is a real authenticity to the place - it feels totally unspoiled. we were able to purchase the most amazing produce from local shops. There are some fantastic restaurants in Riposto which are not overpriced for what you get. i suspect if we had gone to a tourist hotspot we would be paying much much more. We spent most of our time at the beeches a short drive from Riposto itself. If you want to access these beeches you will need a car. We had planned to do without one- this would have been a mistake! The beeches that we went to were not crowded at all-the water was crystal clear and calm. Overall this was a great location and not overpriced at all. After leaving Riposto we headed for Noto. There is a contrast between the two for sure but Riposto has a ‘real’ feel about it probably because it is not teaming with tourists. I am sure we will return

Summary: We were made most welcome by Antonio. The flat is most comfortable and completely fitted with easy- sliding insect screens. We did not have a single mosquito in the flat - that's a first for us as they generally make a feast of me during the night. The location is ideal as a base for train travel. The town is as unspoilt a place as you are likely to find in Sicily. Great views of Etna and the sea from the huge roof terrace. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this apartment.

Summary: The apartment was all we expected and more :) The terrace on top of house had nice view towards Etna and well equipped with furniture and kitchen too. The hosts were never longer than a sms away and always kind and helping. They were very heartfelt welcoming. It was very easy to make appointments with them, also arriving and departing hours. The apartment are in a residential area and the city itself very well functioning. Few minutes walking to the train station and to rural charming beach. We highly recommend both apartment and hosts, and we definitely will come back.
