Positive: The apartment offers a truly breathtaking view — with both the sea and mountains visible from the living room, it’s a standout feature that adds a lot of value to the stay. The kitchen is another positive point: well-equipped and convenient for preparing meals.
Negative: The place is a little worn out overall, and doesn’t quite live up to the photos — which appear to have been taken when the place was in better condition. The bathroom is disproportionately small compared to the spacious bedrooms, kitchen, and lounge area. The sink is especially problematic — it’s so tiny that washing your face causes water to splash out, and there’s a low shelf above it that makes it easy to accidentally bump your head. Flies were another issue. There were quite a few in the apartment during our stay. Although a fly spray was provided, it didn’t fully resolve the problem and it became quite annoying.
Summary: Breathtaking view, but the bathroom is too small

Positive: Amazing views, all the facilities we needed as a family if 4. Perfect location (with a car) to explore the beauty of North Iceland.
Negative: Could hear next door - but not a big deal. Wouldn’t stop us staying again.

Positive: The view from the apartment was absolutely amazing. The house had everything you need. Nice that there was stuff like salt/pepper, coffee/tea, shampoo and toilet paper. Often you need to buy everything yourself. Also the fact that you can use the washer and dryer are a bonus. Personally I liked that there was no contact needed with the hosts, you can just get the keys from the little keybox. And the driveway was made snow free which was also appreciated!
Negative: You could hear every sound the neighbours made. Every footstep or cabinet that was opened was like it was happening in our own house. During the day it felt like the heater couldn't provide and it was cold, but during the night while sleeping it was crazy hot.
Summary: Great stay with amazing views, only downside was the noise from the neighbours.

Positive: Very good location for someone who likes quiet, comes with great view. Unfortunately for us, there was a massive snowstorm on the day we arrived. The owner was very helpful, he came to help us clear the snow the next day. I will definitely come back when I'm in Akureyri.
Negative: Rooms are a bit small but it did not bother us that much.

Positive: The view from the apartment was fantastic, and it was warmly heated and had everything we needed. Easy to find and near a major town as well, but far enough to have darker skies so that we could enjoy the Northern Lights.
