Positive: The location on the edge of the old town was convenient. Although parking was not included a parking garage a block away was a good solution. Although some parts of the apartment were a bit tight, the host had put a lot of effort to make it work for guests and it did for us. When we had to change our itinerary for one of the days the host offered to give us a lift to a village at the start of a walk so we could do a walk instead back to the flat and rescue our day. We made a couple of suggestions as to some small things the host might do in the future to make things more convenient and the next day they were done. Having such a responsive host makes taking the time to make positive suggestions feel so worthwhile.
Negative: If you are a really big person you might find the apartment a bit cramped.
Summary: Great responsive and caring host made the stay in this lovely city more enjoyable.

Positive: Good location - easy walk into Old Town and an excellent coffee shop, friendly and responsive Host, well equipped kitchen, quiet, clean. Good supermarket 5 minutes away.
Negative: The bed in the bedroom was very uncomfortable. It was only a box spring with a thin 1" pad on top, allowing one to hear and feel the springs. The foldout bed was better. The Host had to adjust the automatic setting for the hot water heating to work. Even then, the heat was slow to develop and only reached a "2" out of "5" level. If we'd been travelling in the winter, it would have been uncomfortably cold in the apartment. We had to use a supplemental small electric heater to dry our washed clothing that we hung on a rack. The nearby open Parking lot was 8 Euros a day, not 6 as told us by the Host.
Summary: Okay place to stay, except if it's cold outside, and don't expect a good sleep.

Positive: The location was great.
Negative: The apartment was lackluster and seemed to be decorated with IKEA furnishings. The step up to the bathroom should be lit; it’s an awkward step up and not a typical one. I tripped while walking to the bathroom at night, as I didn’t expect the step up, and ended up with a large bruise that lasted two weeks. Asking renters to vacuum the apartment upon departure feels excessive. The host was responsive, but his replies were rather dry.
Summary: I wouldnt stay again.

Positive: The location was great, we could easily reach the city center and shops, as well as the bus station. Check in went smoothly, as the instructions were clear and easy to follow. The rooms are clean and stylish. They might look a bit small, but for two people there is enough space. The kitchen is very well equipped (fridge, electric kettle, microwave, oven, induction stove, toaster, washing machine, dishwasher) and had everything you might need for cooking (pots, pans, different oils, seasonings, etc.), baking (baking paper, baking powder, sugar, etc.) and cleaning (vacuum cleaner, washing liquids, etc.). There were also selection of teas and coffee, which was very useful. There are different trash sections for easy garbage-sorting, which is quite convenient. The only con of the kitchen was the lack of blinds on the window and there were people in the garden occasionally staring inside. The communication with host was great - he was responding promptly to our questions and requests.
Negative: 1. The host surprised us with a message regarding the check out instructions: "The apartment must be swept clean and left in a tidy condition. In the event of extreme dirt (i.e. cleaning effort of more than 1.5 hours, an additional cleaning fee of €25/h will be charged)." There was no information about extra cleaning in the apartment description (please update it on the website), and there was already a cleaning fee (€25) included in the price of our booking. We always try not to leave the hotel rooms/apartments in a messy state, but this message made us feel stressed. How should I calculate how many hours it will take the host to clean the apartment? Before checking out we did the dishes (only two cups were left), vacuumed the floors just to be sure that we are not going to be fined. 2. When we arrived at the apartment, the WiFi wasn't working. We managed to write the host using our roaming mobile internet (that wasn't working right in Tubingen), and also we called him. The host said that he was aware of the problem - it was on the internet provider's side and he will call someone to fix it (nobody came to fix it during our 2-night stay). Meanwhile, he kindly suggested using his internet, as he lived in the same building. We connected to it, but it stopped working again. So the host suggested using his mobile internet, but when we needed to use it, he wasn't at home. 3. It was a bit cold in the apartment, so we wanted to turn on the heating system, but the host said that it turns on automatically when it's cold enough outside. Summary: It was a really stressful stay because of the lack of the Internet (we couldn't check bus/train schedules and make video calls) and we even couldn't enjoy all the fancy facilities like the TV with YouTube and Netflix, as they can't work without Internet...
Summary: Nice apartment but not a very nice stay

Positive: It was perfectly situated in Tubingen between the old town and my daughter’s apartment just up the hill. Slept very well each evening on the sofa bed. I really can’t find anything bad to say about our stay and would highly recommend.
Negative: It was perfect. The last time we stayed in a property in Tubingen it was very poor in comparison.
