Positive: Very close to centre of Bayeux Free parking. Spacious, well appointed and clean.

Negative: It is quite dark due to being located down an alleyway. Very little natural light in the rooms. Electric lighting very good and well positioned though. The stairs are very narrow, and steep. Perhaps a tea towel for drying the washing up. (Dishwasher is included)

Summary: Very happy with the apartment. Have stayed here before, and will definitely stay here again

Positive: clean and was a good location to visit the D Day memorials.

Negative: the bedrooms. well worn and uncomfortable bed clothes and bed. stairs very difficult to negotiate getting upstairs. having to use stairs on the outside of the apartment to get suitcases to the bedrooms through double lock doors. because the building is medieval and the inner staircase is narrow and semi spiral that had narrow painted slippy steps. not suitable for any mobility issues.

Summary: more work needed upstairs to compare with down stairs.

Positive: Good location.clean well appointed appartment. WiFi good.. host very friendly with some English. Very central. Very beautiful cathedral . Excellent location for D day visits,and British cemetery. Lovely little typically French town.

Negative: Definitely NOT for anyone with a physical dissability. Bedrooms reached by a small winding metal staircase Appartement accessed from alleyway off pedestrianised street. Car parking in public car park some way behind proprerty. Some difficulty in finding appartment. Mostly touristy restaurants very crowded,with heavy American presence.

Positive: Great location. Right in the heart of town. It’s actually tight above La Rapiere, Bayeux’s highly rated Michelin star restaurant. So take care to book the restaurant when you book the apartment. We didn’t and were disappointed! Apartment was well stocked - everything you would want for cooking in - pots, pans, utensils, cutlery and a few grocery items (left over from previous guests?).

Negative: The owner will insist on a €500 deposit in case of breakages or damages when you check-in. No issues in the return of the deposit at the end - just a little inconvenient. Also take note that the stairs to the upper level are very steep for the less mobile.

Summary: Great location. Spacious, well provisioned apartment. Friendly host.
