Positive: Extremely cosy cottage, spotlessly clean and in a great location where you can easily walk into Kendal town centre on the day or evening. Private parking and rear access made lugging hiking boots, gear, children in and out very easy. Lovely decor, warm and cosy and the owner was fabulous with lots of local information.

Positive: It was really very comfortable and had everything we needed and more. Great kitchen and just a really nicely finished cottage.

Negative: The road was quite busy but I think it was because of a diversion. And the parking at the back was really tight.

Positive: Cosy character cottage with a smart modern feel. Super well equipped. We appreciated the parking. The log fire (fuel supplied) was a nice touch for the evening. And the sitting room had comfortable sofas and nice lighting. Plenty of nearby shops and not far to town centre.

Negative: Didn't really get the hang of the heating in the extension, but weren't cold.

Positive: Lovely house, well located within easy walking distance into Kendal and close to many other stunning areas in the lakes. We visited as a family group of 6 and found the property to be very comfortable and well equipped and loved all the little extra touches. Communications with the owner were quick and we followed several of the recommendations which were a great help.

Positive: The ambiance/facilities and all the decoration was wonderful. Very homely home, the host took care of everything from towels, utensils, milk in fridge, cake and biscuits for us and all sort of information of the area (Lake district). Also small gifts like small perfume candles were given which was cherry on top. All information clearly given and even she gave extra time for checkout which was very helpful.

Negative: Parking was a little difficult, especially at night finding the spot was a bit difficult even though the host gave the picture of the parking spot. But this was not a very big problem.

Summary: Home outside home. Beautiful.
