Positive: Excellent location just 200 m walk to the Kilpisjärvi central shops yet still in a beautiful nature surrounding. Hiking routes start just 100 m away. Good price to quality ratio in an otherwise expensive Kilpisjärvi (this time of the year). Good for a family stay with plenty of sleeping places. Kitchen was well equipped, had coffee brewer and even some left over salt flour and coffee filters.
Negative: A bit worn. Shower room had no shower curtain or place to keep clothes, a small plastic stool or rack would have done the job.
Summary: Good relatively affordable place for family stay.

Positive: Beautiful location right next to the national park, waterfall, Saana fell, and, of course, petrol station and supermarket. The owner is a very pleasant person. The lodge itself was very spacious, and there was a sauna!
Negative: The ceiling is rather low in the staircase, and I hit my head against it a few times before learning my lesson, so a small warning somewhere in the area would be nice.

Positive: It was good !!! I was happy with my stay. They allowed me to check in early which was very accommodating and meant a lot. I had an apt that was clean, simple and basic nothing fancy but good. Fair price, beautiful location and quiet. I’d def stay again I’m in Kilpis a lot . Thanks
Negative: Maybe could use some new pillows kinda old and lumpy . Otherwise really great. Maybe alittle bit of touch up paint work on outside of buildings just a friendly suggestion .
Summary: I will definitely be staying again. Clean quiet and affordable

Positive: The location is excellent: there's a supermarket and a great restaurant 300m away, and the hiking trails and Norwegian border are also very close (you can reach them by car in 5-10 minutes). The cottage was spacious and had a sauna.
Negative: We were very disappointed, especially because of the bed linen and towels. They cost €14 per person + they also charge 30-50€ if you want cleaning. All this information is said at the very end of their Booking page, which unfortunately I didn't read. I found out about all the extra costs in a message that they send after you make your reservation. But the most annoying thing was that, on top of the high costs, the bed linen and towels were very old, unmatching and smelled bad. Because of the extra costs, we decided to clean ourselves, and when we started cleaning we realized that the apartment wasn't that clean (the toilet for example). Also, the shower isn't very good, because everything in the bathroom gets wet. There are also extra costs if you break (very old) stuff, like a toaster that didn't even work properly. The TV was very tiny and you get Wi-Fi at the reception only.
Summary: Excellent location, but overpriced and extra costs for smelly sheets and towels
