Positive: Full of character, split bedroom and sitting room in a tower, so lovely, easy to explore Monemvasia and so peaceful. Great terrace overlooking the sea. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Positive: Our stay here was exceptional. From the moment we arrived Dionissia our host greeted us with the biggest smile. She organised for someone to take our bags to our room. We were lucky to have a choice of two suites. We were very impressed with both of them. Multi levels, beautifully designed to enhance the castle period feel. With curved ceilings and stoned walls. The beds were comfortable, luxurious shower with jets, soft towels, slippers and even a complimentary bottle of wine. We had an outdoor terrace with an exit to the castle grounds which had a view of the ocean. Thank you Donissia for letting us stay at your beautiful place. Everything was wonderful. A unique memorable stay. ❤️

Negative: Nothing. To have breakfast in our courtyard woukd have been nice.

Positive: Traditional cave house within the walls of this magnificent ancient city. Beautiful step back in time decor. Location very central to main street shops which are a 5 minute walk and very close to the best restaurant Matoulas. Hotel owner Despina was wonderful.

Negative: Unclear how to navigate transporting our heavy suitcases to the hotel, as signs very small. We were unaware they had a porter service. Driver can only drop you off to the original gates of old Monemvasia. Precarious for family to move suitcases down steep and slippery rocky steps. I would recommend having very light luggage. Hotel owner organized a porter for our departure which was truly easy and much appreciated. Bedrooms are on 2 separate mezzanine levels with steep steps with downstairs bathroom. Would still return, so overall small negatives.
