Positive: We liked the location it was very central. The hotel at night was a little noisy not from street but from inside the hotel when the door opens and closes you could hear other guests coming in and out.

Positive: Great location Bar staff friendly Clean bedding
Negative: Swimming pool a Health hazard should have been closed not safe there was a large amount of bird poo around the pool and pigeons were using it as a bird bath. Very high risk of contracting campylobacter and being very ill. Reception staff notified and he said it would be cleaned tomorrow!! Also no towels available as they had t come back from laundry. Only one bath towel in room and two small towels. No linings in bins in toilet. Shower door hanging off and floor damaged.
Summary: Sadly wouldn’t recommend this hotel the first impressions were lovely great location and entrance impressive but overall

Positive: This was our 3rd time at Hotel Aristoy, and the rooms are really comfortable, soft bed and spacious bathroom. Excellent location!
Negative: Since our last trip, they have installed a numeric code pad on the doors to the rooms, as well as the hotel entrance. There was nobody at reception when we arrived (and before arrival, we hadn't received a response to our question about leaving our bags in reception before the 3pm check in, neither via WhatsApp nor via Booking.com private message). The code didn't work, so I called the main landline and luckily they communicated with housekeeping, who were still there, they used a key card to open our door. A few hours later, we wanted to go out, so we checked if the code worked - it still didn't. Another call to the main number and they provided us with new numbers for our room and hotel entrance. There is a restaurant built into the hotel lobby (but not owned by the hotel) and it was noisy until 1am.
Summary: Comfy rooms still, but less human contact (i.e. reception) has let them down

Positive: Room was lovely including a Delta coffee maker and a mini fridge. The deck area around the pool was a great addition although there's only room for 6 loungers - only once in the week we were there was it already full when we arrived though. The staff were great and the rooms were cleaned and tidied daily (including replacing any used coffee pods!). The location is right in the middle of the old town with more local bars, shops, coffee places and restaurants than there's time to visit
Negative: With being close to the centre of the old town, it could get a little noisy as bars and restaurants empty out. At the weekend, this went on well into the early hours of the morning. Closing the window cut most of this out (although, if a light sleeper, you'd still be aware of it) but that can make it a little warm in the room unless running the air-con. A few issues with ants in the room that needed spraying to keep out
Summary: A beautifully built and well-maintained hotel with great staff and location. Very relaxing stay

Positive: Comfortable. Well equipped. Great little swim pool. Fabulous bathroom. In the middle of the old town.
Negative: Need to give better info for those with cars. Best car park is only 500 metres level walk away but had to find out for ourselves.

Positive: Marvellous styled room, rooftop pool, very welcoming host, all at the heart of the old centre of Tarifa and at short walking distance of the lighthouse island: great for snorkling! We parked our motorbikes just outside the old centre at a 3 min walk.
