Summary: Run down but mostly OK, until we went in the bathroom. There was a ton of dried reddish goop at the base of the tub on the floor, complete with dried fingerprints in it. It was clear that someone tried, but did a terrible job of cleaning it. We were pretty horrified to think that it might be blood.

Summary: The front desk staff was AMAZING. Sourdough Cafe GREAT service by Marie and another gentleman, good food too, especially for the price. Band, Mach 5, OUTSTANDING. Server at Grand palace FANTASTIC. The room, not so much. The room size was surprising with large sitting area and private bedroom. However, room smelled like weed permeated every surface. Hole in wall, ripped wallpaper, dirty carpet. The worst was no blanket and only two dirty pillows with no cases. Front desk offered a room switch but since we were leaving early next day we just asked them to make up the bed completely because we already brought all our stuff to room which was a haul from closest parking. Went to dinner, returned to room, no bedding. Called again, said would send to room. On fourth contact was advised bedding at front desk as no one but housekeeping can enter unattended room, housekeeping leaves by 5 pm. Would have been good to know first time. Would stay again because of the staff and room size, but just lower expectations on cleanliness of room (surface clean, but corners and crevices dirty, hairball in shower drain), amenities-not sure what the “resort fee” covers (2 coffee pods). Again, staff went above and beyond. I have not had such good customer service from every person we came in contact with in years and we travel at least 120 days a year for business and pleasure.

Summary: This was the second time staying here in 2 weeks. First time the room was so bad they gave us another room. It was better but not good. This time the pictures speak for themselves. Not much better.

Summary: I don’t even know where to begin. This trip ended with a literal dumpster fire - I could see flames jumping from my own room’s window, and security brushed me off so that wasn’t great. The fire department did put it out quick(ish) so that’s good. The pros: very family friendly. There were apparently feral children throughout the property. The room itself was large, the tvs are comically small though. The cons: it was dirty. Very dirty. We are a strict shoes off in the house family, and this place was so dirty I kept my shoes on and mopped the whole floor with a towel before I could stand walking on it. If only I had known, those were our only towels and they would not be replaced. No service at all, for the entire stay. No phone in the room to even call the front desk. Air conditioner is ancient, loud, shuts off randomly and had a filter so clogged that it was barely working. In room coffee? The coffeemaker had black chunks spitting out of it(always test with a clean cup of water - pro tip). For the astronomically high resort fee, they should be cleaning daily. Not once, at all, was our room ever cleaned. We finally got towels after a security guard tracked down staff for us on our last night there. The area can be rough, but usually it isn’t bad. This trip was bad. Fighting, screaming, homeless people using the pool area - which generally I wouldn’t mind, if people are respectful and kind. This was not that. We won’t stay again.

Summary: Stay was good. Staff was friendly and professional. Room was sufficient for my business trip. Sour Dough Restaurant was very good. I ate there for most of my meals. Staff at restaurant was amazing. The hotel needs a little TLC make over. It’s very worn. I still enjoyed my stay.

Summary: Stayed two separate times. First time, room was nice enough but no cold water came out in the shower, just scalding hot. So the shower was unusable. Second time I did not feel safe on the premises. I’ve travelled alone for 30 years in all different cities and countries. It takes a lot for me to feel unsafe. I would never stay here with family. I won’t stay here again.

Summary: Overall, my stay at Az Charlie's Boulder was fine. The staff were pleasant & helpful. Everything was as advertised. The amenities and facilities promised were available. My only complaint was the condition of the room. Stains in the bathtub, curtains missing hooks sagging, and insufficient sound proofing. Mostly from tiny gaps around the window and door.
