Positive: I loved the location. The room was small but comfortable. The linens were clean. The bathroom was a bathroom. The hot tub felt so good after a day of walking around town.
Negative: Don't stay here for the luxury or the cleanliness. Stay for the history and the location. The bathroom will be mildewy and tiny. The grout is grimy and the air intake is gross. I can't stresss this enough: the bathroom is very small. I don't know if I'll stay here again, and I'm not sure I will ride the motorcycle again due to the scary parking garage, but it's fine.
Summary: I enjoyed the location so much I wasn't bothered by the dirt.

Positive: I loved the charm of this older hotel. While it needs some upgrades, I still enjoyed our stay. The staff was outstanding especially our Bellhop who greeted us with true southern hospitality! We’ll stay here again because I felt like we stepped back in time!
Negative: The rooms need some upgrades BUT it was clean and the bed was very comfy! If they renovate I hope they keep the old world charm of the hotel!
