Positive: The location is fantastic! The drive (about 15 minutes) on a dirt road is well worth it. (A sign on the road would be a nice addition to let you know you are going in the right direction). Our host Carla was so welcoming and helped us with reservations to the adjacent iconic Tea house. The room is cozy, clean and comfortable. The view is amazing and it is so quiet and peaceful.

Positive: It’s a lovely mountain lodge, with the best view of San Martin and the lake. The cabins are cute and cosy, with a patio overlooking the lake. The view is Wow, you can sit there for days! This is clearly the highlight of the property. The only downside was getting there. Since we didn’t have our own car, we had to struggle to find a taxi and the local taxis are very expensive for the short ride to town. Also the tea house is a limited menu, so we had to end up going down to the city for our meals. This wasn’t ideal. The tea house in itself is lovely and added to our stay experience and so did the little walking trail. The breakfast is a little basic, so there’s some scope for improvement.
Negative: The approach road is broken, so getting up there is a bit taxing.
