Positive: The cottage was brilliant, perfect for our stay I wish we could have stayed longer. It was clean, had everything we needed, decorated very tastefully and spacious and modern. The location was perfect for country walks from your doorstep or for visiting other areas of the Peak District. The pool was great fun and I loved that it had a shower, Sun loungers and toilet. The honesty shop was also a thoughtful touch

Positive: Location was perfect. All avid walkers and outdoor enthusiasts, walking starts literally from your front door. Having the pool, which was as warm as bathwater, was the perfect way to ease those aching muscles after a hard day's walking. Our host had left a fab homemade lemon drizzle cake which we polished off in no time. If I am honest we could not fault our stay, we would have paid double and still felt we had a bargain. Thank you so much guys and we look forward to another stay next year.
Negative: Nothing, everything was amazing, too many people are far to quick too moan about things beyond the control of hosts, if you research the area yourselves you will not be disappointed. If you want to be in the mountains and away from it all that is what you get, and it is perfect just as it is! Hope village is nearby and all the basics can be found there.
Summary: Party of 8 of mixed age group. Not one complaint from any of us. Cannot wait to return.

Positive: The staff left a homemade cake for our arrival. Lovely smellies to use in each bathroom..cottage was lovely, clean and cosy
Negative: We thought it was a house with a pool attached, it was disappointing to find that it was a shared pool, I wouldn't have paid that much if I had known this.. It also has a shared garden..

Positive: An absolutely stunning location we have just spent 4 days at Ash cottage 6 Adults and 2 Children the place was spotlessly clean we had a ball beautiful garden and the pool was the icing on the cake and my grandchildren loved it as well as all us adults. Speaking of cakes we were welcomed with a home baked Victoria Sponge which was delicious Thank you Sophie. The owners were there if we needed them but were in no way intrusive. I would rate this as five stars. Lots to do on your doorstep. This was a first time visit to the Peak District and we were all blown away with the views we hope to return and would definitely book Ash Cottage again.

Positive: The most amazing location half way into the hills with a view over the valley and grazing sheep and a hill walk starting immediately from the cottage. Bedrooms was comfortable with plenty of room and great layout for families with kid. Pool was wonderful and we spent hours and hours in there.
Negative: Kitchen and living area was relatively small, typical of a cottage of that type, but had everything needed.
Summary: Would return for the amazing views, the hills and the pool.
