Summary: This place is a mixed bag. Location is great and grounds are beautiful. Front desk staff also great. Condition of the rooms was not so good. First room had a broken window screen (no air conditioning, so the window needs to open). Also had a gap in the door bottom a rat could get through. Staff responded immediately when we complained and upgraded us to a room with a fireplace/balcony. This one was also in need of maintenance. The door to the balcony had a track so caked with dirt that it took two of us to open it. Woodwork scratched and stained. Got in the shower to discover no soap in the dispenser. We were afraid to light the fireplace, wondering if the flue would be blocked with something. This place could be great with some basic maintenance.

Summary: The landscape on and around the grounds was amazing. We loved the cozy fireplace and lovely large window and balcony. We would have appreciated a coffeemaker and a tv.

Summary: It’s our first time staying at this place and it’s a welcome surprise. The place felt like a vintage glamping spot. A place to get active and unplug. There’s no tv in the rooms or a hair dryer but there’s wifi and the room is clean and bathroom fixtures are old but is working. We were assigned rooms in separate houses. The rooms are spacious and have a 70’s vibe. There’s a common area with a big refrigerator, microwave and board games. The grounds invite you to hike since a big property and the beach is accessible nearby. Our stay includes breakfast with standard selections but a big serving. Overall I enjoyed it and think of coming back soon.

Summary: This is a special and unique place. It has simplicity and charm. The rooms were nice and the grounds and buildings were fantastic. I would love to stay here again!

Summary: Everything was fine except the Fan wasn't working so it got a bit stuffy in our room. Luckily there was a little breeze so we opened the door/window for fresh air.

Summary: Beautiful location right across the street from a beautiful beach and tide pools. It almost felt as if we were camping, there was plenty of outdoor seating and amenities like volleyball net and firepit. Room was recently renovated but the bathroom was still a little outdated but do-able. The water was either too hot or too cold but other than that one of my favorite stays!

Summary: Nice work weekend. Wifi is reliable. Free parking nearby. Nice rustic, simple, and clean lodgings. No TV, Microwave, Fridge. Conservative water for sink and shower. No ice near Scripps building. Coffee maker did not make coffee with the pods they provide, but with a work around, I was able to at least boil water to make tea with tea I'd brought from home. Also, be aware that if you select breakfast included when booking, you only get one breakfast meal for one day no matter how many days you book. I booked 2 days and selected breakfast included, but was only allowed and given one breakfast pass/card at check-in for one breakfast meal. Nice walk down to beach and back. Tiny cafe next to Check- in area is convenient for a panini, chips, and drink to-go then relax and lunch on the beach. I hope to return and enjoy more of what is offered, instead of having to work through the weekend.👍

Summary: Everything was amazing, the stay, the cleanliness etc. Dinner was expensive, almost $50 for adult and close to $30 for child. I was hesitant but gave it a try because the front desk person told me there were a few options like a roasted chicken or steak etc. When we got there it was only the steak. I wish they were more specific about what type of steak. Grateful we got to eat something but not worth $70 meal for an adult and child. Also the only drink option was water. There was coffee, hot coco, and tea. But looking back at the interaction I had with the front desk person, she didn’t sound sure. I’m glad I tried the food there but in the future I will choose to go somewhere else for dinner.
