Serenity awaits you at the Luxury Log Cabin located just 12.25 miles from the heart of Athens. This cabin was built 16 years ago and is located on a private 20 acre watershed lake.
No matter what brings you here you will enjoy the solitude of being the only home on the lake. Many visitors come just to get away from the daily grind but most come here to be close to UGA activities! You can watch the game from the comfort of the cabin or be in the middle of Sanford Stadium in minutes.
Wifi is included and there is cell signal on the property. No pets and no smokers are allowed so we can keep the cabin fresh and clean.
While you are here you may enjoy fishing in the lake where there is an abundance of Brim, Crappy, Bass, and Catfish. You can sleep late and awaken to the beauty of the lake through the master bedroom window then go out to cruise the lake on kayaks or the jon boat. The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking utensils for any occasion. You can relax on the wraparound porch and enjoy meals indoors or out.
Theaters, shopping, you name it and it's there. The Commerce Outlet Malls are only 10 minutes from our home in case you have shopping on your mind!
After dinner, you can relax by the lake and enjoy s'mores by the campfire as you unwind from the day. Hmmm...sounds good!

Summary: Really my dream house! The property was beautiful, quiet, and enjoyable! Look out your window and see the lake. Plenty of space, pillows, and full kitchen! The owners mother lives on the property and is very helpful if you need anything! Only problem my kids had was the wifi wasn't great.

Summary: My husband and I wanted to take our kids somewhere where we could unwind and spend some time with our boys. This place was perfect. There is wifi but it’s a hit or miss which was just fine for us! We spent the day fishing and taking the boat out on the lake. It’s an older boat but sturdy. The lake does not appear to be too deep. We were able to walk out a ways and the water did not go past our waist, just be careful if walking barefoot. There are a few logs just under the water that have a lot of lures stuck on them. You don’t want to step on those. Not a swimming type of lake but there are a lot of bluegill and catfish by the shoreline to catch. We never left the cabin. It is quaint, clean and has that cozy homie feel that makes you want to stay. There is a fully functional kitchen but we used the charcoal grill that is provided along with our tripod over the fire pit. The cabin has a laundry room which came in handy with 2 boys and the mud that inevitably got on there clothes from digging around to find night crawlers. Be prepared for a workout going back and forth from the cabin to the lake. The hill is a little steeper than expected but not bad. Overall it is one of the better vacations we had and to tell you the truth, it was a wonderful break from emails, tv and social media! Left feeling refreshed! Will be back again for sure.

Summary: Cabin is very convenient to Athens yet quiet and private. Host was super nice and available right away when we needed something. We enjoyed the 2 canoes and did some fishing on the private lake. You could see cows in the water on the other side sometimes which was neat.

Summary: Thank you so much for sharing your lovely cabin with us. The views of the lake were beautiful. We really enjoyed your little piece of paradise. The kids and adults loved fishing and caught some pretty nice fish. We enjoyed grilling out. Nancy is lovely and we enjoyed meeting here. Hope to return someday.
