Stunning views of Ragged Harbour, a natural protected bay with full easterly view of the Atlantic. All enjoyed from the comfort of a completely remodelled and tastefully designed house that has a chefs kitchen and all the amenities for a special family or friends vacation. A minute walk to a near private beach, with many other phenomenal beaches but a short drive away. Good restaurants available within a half hour drive as are the memorable coastal towns of Mahone Bay and Lunenberg.
The house, a Cape Cod design, has been newly built with a coastal feel that draws the sea into the house. Shiplapped walls and ceilings, hardwood floors and stunningly furnished for comfort and relaxation. Dining for eight right next to the Chef’s kitchen and kitchen island can make for memorable meal preparation and enjoyment. A wine and beer fridge, ice maker and cocktail shaker set will definitely help set the mood.
The bedrooms have breathtaking views of the Atlantic and Harbour. Bathroom floors are all heated for foot comfort and the soaker tub in the ensuite main bedroom is a luxurious place for respite. The large screened in porch in front has dining for eight, a lounging set with ocean views and a hot tub that can melt all worries away.
You will have complete use of the house and grounds. We also own the house next door, The Puddin’ Pan, and while the driveway is shared the houses are private and independent. A short walk down the driveway and over the barrier wall brings you right to a wonderful sandy beach which is excellent for swimming.
Lisa and Arthur are readily available by phone, email and text to respond to all your inquiries and concerns.
We encourage guests to take a walk out to the left of the house to view Ragged Harbour. While the rocks can be slippery, the beach and views of waves crashing on the rocks, the seals and waterfowl make the trip very worthwhile. Short trips to other local beaches and landmarks are contained in the House Manual.
Water comes from a drilled well and is pristine, clear and refreshing. It is regularly tested for safety.
We are on a sceptic system so please put only organic matter and supplied toilet paper into the system. No diapers or wipes, or feminine products.

Summary: Our family loved this place. It is just perfect. The owners have thought of every need and the house was amazing! Pictures do not do it justice. Open the windows in the screened in porch where there is a sitting area, dinning table to seat 8 and hot tub. We fell in love with the sound of the ocean just steps from the house!

Summary: Our party=6 seniors .Everything was exactly as advertised..Our host was responsive to any inquiry.The house is completely cohesive,from the decor down to the light fixtures-it fits the location and theme of its setting.The furniture is cozy and inviting,the kitchen and appliances are outstanding.The bedrooms -bathrooms-linens- in fact the entire house is completely like new. The property is remote and tranquil .We are active people and enjoy outside activities.Walking a beautiful and picturesque beach is steps away, ..(bring your insect spray). The internet is available thru cell service and fills the gaps in a sometime problematic wireless connection.We used the kitchen for the majority of meals,everything we needed was stocked and of high quality .The propane grill is new and now seasoned. We took a couple of day trips to site see and all the people we encountered were hospitable and friendly. Each of us in our group chose a "one word" review. Remote,Fantastic,Superior,Relaxing,Inviting,and Premium This property affords complete immersion into what we envisioned Nova Scotia living to be.

Summary: This secluded gem left us feeling relaxed with only the sounds of the waves and nature, yet close to many quaint south shore coastal towns and beaches for us to explore. The interior decor and amenities (hot tub, enclosed large porch, with several choices to dine in and out) provided us with so many visual options to enjoy the beautiful view. The bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living areas, had a coastal modern feel with luxurious comfort. Our excellent hosts, Lisa and Arthur, thought of everything - from stocking the cupboards and fridge with essential condiments, spices, and even coffee, tea and cream! The bathrooms had soaps, shampoo, and conditioner. It was easy to settle in and feel like home! My family and I are already planning another visit in September and will be staying here!
